"Gallons per mile" comes to mind....

Re: DROOL - ME WANT
Yeah, it would have to sport a "My other car's a Prius" bumper sticker.Mule wrote:"Gallons per mile" comes to mind....

Re: DROOL - ME WANT
Awesome! That TAK-4 suspension is pretty slick (I have seat time in M-ATVs). Must be amazing on a HMMWV.

A stock HV can climb a 22" vertical wall...Your over paying for that after market, piece of hype...

Re: DROOL - ME WANT
fbenross, this is for military vehicles, not civilian H1's. The original HMMWV suspension is overmatched by the kind of armor protection required these days, which is one of the reasons we aren't using them overseas any more.

I have some seat time in a stock, civilian H1 and am familiar with how capable it is. I would be interested to see what it would do with the upgrade. I am not going to shell out to buy a vehicle like that unless Ed McMahon comes back from the Great Beyond and shows up at my door with balloons and a big check.fbenross wrote:A stock HV can climb a 22" vertical wall...Your over paying for that after market, piece of hype...
I have a colleague who does some work with Osh Kosh and was telling me about the upgrade they offer and I was intrigued.

Re: DROOL - ME WANT
Tommy, would Osh Kosh even sell this kit for a civilian truck? My initial hunch is "no".

Thinking you would probably have to piece it together surplus or have an in with them to score one.Low_Sky wrote:Tommy, would Osh Kosh even sell this kit for a civilian truck? My initial hunch is "no".

Re: DROOL - ME WANT
A civilian H-1 Alpha with this setup would be a SICK rig though!!!
