Planning a trip to Arizona the end of Aug. to see the Grand Canyon of course. Just wondered if anyone from az. has any must see things around that area. Gonna be there about a week depending on how good of time i can make with the pw pulling camper. First big trip with new camper! :excited:

I was just down in that area with the motorhome. If you want a great place to stay, with primitive camping. Lone Rock Beach in Utah, $10.00 a night. Just north of Page Az. You'll be about 2.5 hrs north of the Grand Canyon.

My thread on my trip.

Dry camping or campground? I hope it's dry; you have ltteraly hundreds of miles of roads and campsites available.

That is peak monsoon season, so expect rain pretty much every afternoon. Mornings should be really nice tho.

That's one of my favorite areas, I know it very well. PM me an e-mail address, and any special interests you have (history, bird watching, hiking, etc...) in addition to 4x4 trails, and I'll make some suggestions.
