I ended up winching off another truck. Considered snatch strap, but figured winch was safest option since I didn’t really know how bad it was hung up.
That’s wilsonsinak’s PW. We wheel together a lot.

Slow and safe with the winch is never a bad idea.

Yep. Typically always takes way more time. But typically is always safer.

Damn that looks good. Some 13.5’’ width tires are in order. Funny how one mod snowballs into the next.

Pros and cons both ways. You have hundreds or thousands (tens maybe?) more miles of accessible trails than I do. But I can drive my truck on ice bergs.

It drives like a different truck!
Kill switch is beyond legendary. you my friend, are a wiz.

wired up the kill switch to the spod! instead of the fuse tap, we have direct power and ground off the Spod system.
anyone who has this kill switch and is thinking about a switch and power system, do it.

the locker bypass install went off without a hitch.
rear worked perfectly, but the front is clicking upon attempted engagement.

the shop had it working on install, but i assume the adjustments were right inline and after putting the truck back together and getting it home, it needs a slight correction.

do you think i have enough wire and loom to place the control module in a more readily accessible place?

Not sure. If you find a better location and need a longer harness, let me know and we'll figure it out.

Porcupine'd my truck.
Image

Old 800meg "unicorn horn" in front, to seal the hole for now. GPS puck going on that mount when it comes in.
UHF behind it... EMWave flex. MUCH better performance (SWR's much lower, and I get about 3-5dB better RX to sites vs. the glass-mount).
LTE whip on the back - turns out that antenna is kinda shit. I'll probably replace it with a bullet antenna sometime.
Glass-mount on the back came off last night.

I need a better LTE antenna myself for the booster.

that's the one i'll probably go with. Lower profile too.
Really disappointed with the Wilson antenna... the mag-mount I had it on previously wasn't the best, and I was able to improve things with some grounding... but I still didn't get traces I was happy with. Replaced the mag-mount with the NMO, terminated it and put it on the analyzer last night... it didn't improve. Haven't really looked at the two traces overlaid yet, but the NMO may have hurt performace a little.

The UHF, on the other hand, is terrific. I'm really impressed with it.

Nice, I replaced mine with a Surecall 9 inch awhile ago that seemed pretty good, but it's mag mount. And I want to switch to NMO like my UHF antenna. I had looked at a Larson Pulse too.
