Seems a bit over-dramatic. I ran Timbrens on mine for 10 years. The stops looked the same. I left the factory spacer in place, and didn't use the Timbren spacer, so the factory bolts worked. I removed them when I wasn't towing. 2005 vs 2018, but the principal is the same. Not sure why he couldn't make them work.
