Interesting offroad jack idea

A guy I talk to alot posted this video up for his emergency off road jack. It's a boat fender that's recommended for 2psi but as you can tell he's way over that and has been using it for offroad for ~5 years. The truck he's lifiting is a Ford 6.0L Crewcab with I think 40 or 41" IROCS plus a topper, toolbox, heavyduty rack on the topper and that big ass bumper. I thought it was a neat idea for emergency situations plus it's cheaper than the commercial bags.

Pretty cool, but I wouldn't trust it, and with a standard compressor like a ViaAir 400, it would take forever to fill.
I've seen an X Jack used, very nice product.

I'm a firm believer in the right tool for the job - as an old Coasty, it's deeply ingrained that safety is always first. The X Jack is rated to 8000 Lbs - that's enough to lift both wheels on one side if need be.

Thanks for the link. I like the idea of one thats designed for lifting things and not just as a buffer between boats and whatever they are trying not to rub on. Like you I wouldn't trust a bag that is only supposed to hold 2psi and is being way over filled but his vid got me looking again but most of the lifting bags that I'd looked into were way overkill and were lots of $$$.

That's pretty cool but don't think I would trust it.

I had to copy/paste to see the URL in Tapatalk. Seems to be a limitation with the app.

Fixed the BBcode for the VIDEO tag to dump the URL for the video into a clickable link for Tapatalk. It should work fine now without you having to put the URL a second time outside the VIDEO tag.
