Next up is a 1973 Cadillac Eldorado convertible. Nothing too major on this one, annual oil change (definitely not due by milage), an oil leak at the speedo cable, new tires due to age and dry rot and flush some vital fluids. This one has been nicely restored and maintained.

This car has so much steel in it, you could build five Prius' out of it : )
IMG_1881.jpg
The self adjusting air suspension has been removed, so it sits a little lower than stock in the back.
IMG_1882.jpg
There's something you don't see much these days: Fender skirts, hubcaps and whitewalls. The Honda Insight is the last car I know of to have fender skirts.
IMG_1884.jpg
500 CID and front wheel drive.
IMG_1885.jpg
Apparently they ran out of room on the dash, so they mounted the wiper controls on the door panel. ; )
IMG_1886.jpg
Tilt/telescoping steering column and a transmission shift lever thats almost completely vertical in the park position.
IMG_1887.jpg
Nice leather interior.
IMG_1888.jpg
And another original 8 track tape player radio. To the right of it is the joystick for the remote, cable operated passenger door mirror.

Would someone please tell Boss Hogg his car is ready!

Nice old Caddy.

I used to hate removing the rear fender skirts because of all the dirt that used to collect on the inside of them. :( Winter time was really bad with the slush and ice stuck behind them.

Well it's been way to many months since I updated this thread, time to do some catching up ;)
D100.1.JPG
First up is a 1960 Dodge D100 that's been nicely modified and restored.
D100.2.JPG
Beautiful gray on gray flames with shadowing to give it depth. This is the kind of paint job that costs as much as most modern cars.
D100.3.JPG
Functional fleetside bed with oak accents. If the bed was painted the same as the body, you wouldn't want to use it.
D100.4.JPG
Still sporting the original 318 Polysphere engine.
D100.5.JPG
You can't see it in this picture but the hood opens a full 90º giving full light and access to the engine bay.
D100.6.JPG
Custom brake and throttle pedals
D100.7.JPG
I love it when the customer brings there own factory service manual and parts catalog.
D100.8.JPG
If you think that the dash mounted dial shifter on the 2019's is a new concept, think again.
D100.9.JPG
The test drive was like stepping into a time machine. I couldn't help taking a couple outdoor shots.
D100.10.JPG
This truck is a long way from its dead end. (and no, those aren't my marks on the pavement : )

I have a lot more to add to this thread, but it's late and tomorrows another day.

Check out that departure angle - it would hit the pavement going out of many driveways
