Truck's getting closer to being fully set up for work. Had my bro make me a packrat toolbox, and threw the slider on it. Brought home a 258 motor/T-18a tranny, and D20 t case from a 79 CJ 7 last weekend, had the slide all the way out, and it handled the +700lbs no problem. Now I need a topper, but seeing the rack that was on here has got me thinking. Need it enclosed enough that when I pack an industrial threader, I can keep it locked up. I think I'm overweight with this set up and my tools alone tho!! Damn wagon weight ratings!! ;) handles like a dream still.

That donut is a TJ wheel, for Noah's jeep! I like the TJ rubicon rims, and got this one, with tire, never on pavement, for $100. Of course, the tire's over 10 years old, so it's not good for much.

Thanks guys! Walker Evans 504 Legacy wheels. Fake beadlocks, made by Ultra. Similar to Method NV's but have a higher load rating, and a bolted hubcap rather than push-through (Not that I plan on having to change an axle shaft but should the need arise, it's just that much easier), and they look better in my opinion.

Never a good way to start a cross country move....and now my wife knows why I carry a fire extinguisher. Somebody was looking out for us, truck driver flagged us down that smoke was coming from the trailer...then a Big Tex trailer shop was at the next exit owned by a fellow vet, gave me an amazing deal on a great new trailer.

This was pretty awesome across a good portion on Texas, towing 7000 lbs at 4000ft uphill into a steady 40 mph head wind...could literally watch the gas gauge drop

That's why I like my Centerline rims. They're rotary forged. Not cast.

Cast wheels definitely can not take a hard hit. I've exploded 2 Walker race wheels on the racecar before, Walker claims they were a bad batch which could be true. However, forged wheels will bend under a lighter hit than it will take to break a cast wheel. Forged wheels can be bent back into shape afterwards though. I opted for cast because I'm not going to be running through the Mile of Danger at 120 in this truck, if I was I'd have bought some pressure cast RG wheels.

Last year at Rausch Creek. Peter got a flat after running over a tree stump. When we took the wheel off the PW. We seen that the stock PW rim was bent on the inside. Back at camp. I beat that rim almost round again with a sledge hammer. No signs of cracking either. Far as I know. He is still using that rim. As on the PW or a spare? I don't know.

tire pressure is what method race wheels blamed my failure on said 18-20psi was to little and that caused the rim to fail and the rear rim to crack. I would have liked forged bead locks but most are pretty pricey and the trail readys do offer a good warranty for a bit of extra dough. I mostly just care about the bead lock now so my toyo can't fly off again and get all mucked into the brake lines

Checked out the Corral OHV outside of San Diego real quick this afternoon. Great bunch of trails out there, didn't try anything to crazy since it became almost immediately evident that my front shocks and leaf spring bushings are shot. Can't wait to get back up there
