I have been looking for a project vehicle for over a year now and pulled the trigger this weekend in celebration of July 4th.
Meet "Turd", an 83 CJ7. Has the 4.2 and auto trans(so the wife and kid can drive it)
Flat towed it 5 hours home and the PW did great in 100+ degree hear in arizona/Nevada.

How tiny it is compared to the Power Wagon - much better for tight trials!

For the near future, I will just be cleaning it up and using it as a weekend cruiser. Once I get more garage space, I will be slowing building it to be more off road worthy. Looking at getting a full cage and armor to start with, but it will be a long term project for the family.
It is a bit smaller than the truck, the picture really puts it into perspective. At least it can fit in the garage with the wife's daily driver.

That looks fun. I've been wanting a Jeep for awhile. I just fear I'd want to mod it, and I am not currently rich enough to have more than two toys at a time, lol.

Nice score....I went on the Rubicon Run in this friends jeep. It's/he has been doing it for over 10 years. Not fancy, but well built. I drove half and was super impressed where you can take a well prepped jeep.
