Power Wagon Picture Thread

Post by DamageWagon » Fri Jan 20, 2017 7:32 pm

Good looking bumper man! I like the fit of that top tube and the cut on the ends of the main tube. I really like the tube bumpers on these trucks. I think I'm going to ditch my Ranch Hand and make one in a few weeks. Whose horns did you use, or did you make them?

Thanks sir! The frame horns are from pattonfab. It was worth the money to me to have them tig welded in a jig, the fitment was perfect which made everything else much easier.

CombatWombat----------------------------------How much glare do you get from the hood when you have the led light above windshield on ??? Just curious. I bumped into a guy with that set up on a Chevy & he said he would never do it again because of the glare. His truck was black too. I'm thinking if it is a problem, some flat black spray paint that you can peel off would cure the problem ?

Your iphone camera must have been awfully confused by the light in that parking lot. That orange truck looks pretty yellow!

Since it is apparently acceptable to post pics of PW's on asphalt, here's a few of mine after I installed a TRUXXX 1.5" coil spacer. I apologize for the truck being so dirty, but I didnt have time to clean it up after I took it to church, took the kids to practice, went to the grocery store, went to the mall, and then got ice cream...

Looking very good, olyelr. It must be time for some larger tires!
I'll gladly take your worn-out factory Durashakes off your hands any time, just send me a message.
Trucks: 2003 4x4 Dodge 3/4 ton, 1972 4x4 Ford 3/4 ton (factory hi-boy), shopping for new Power Wagon (maybe 2024?)

Haha, actually at 8500 miles they are still in pretty damn good shape. Good enough that I may have them sold for $800.

Since we're on the subject of obsessively clean Powerwagons I thought I'd add some pics of my new lights and my Thuren 2" front coils (really only .75 of an inch on my truck, my factory springs were sagged). Front end now sits at 42 1/8 inches.

The lights are Chicom Arb copies with Arb covers after the originals yellowed. They put out a ton of light but are not as focused as the originals, but acceptable for 600$ CDN for 4, Arbs are 1000$ EACH here.

Hi TwinStick

I got a lot of Glare on the Hood......
Not Sure if i would do it again. Drill Holes in the A Pillar and so on....
I would probably go with a BedRack behind the Cab and put Lights on that.

I will build a Visor under the Light bar to block the light.
