Well at my house, in WNY State, this is pretty impressive, for this area.
In the shade, no less.

On Monday it was 117 in Murrieta CA, and I worked outside until I nearly passed out. My wife wants me to finish the house remodel and I was trying to make a point to her. Almost backfired. I think it officially hit 122 in Palm Springs that day. A friend drove from Phoenix to So Cal on Monday and left AZ at 120, dropped to only 115 when she crossed the Colorado River into The Golden State. It was 96 here at 7:45am and hit 110 at 9:18 am.

Not sure I could deal with that on the regular. But, for the Buffalo NY area, almost 100 is impressive.

I laid sod at my new house yesterday, 103F index, it was rough. Not a cloud in the sky, on sand.

I only do what the majority of the 4 voices in my head tell me to. In most cases, I ignore two of them because one doesn't speak English, and I suspect the other is talking to someone else.

Had 30 pallets delivered, five of us put it down in 7 hours. Seemed like forever, work for 30 minutes, break in the shade for 10, drink a large Powerade, repeat. I pissed one time at the end of the day. Haha. I don't like the heat. Only so much you can do and can't get away from it.

Umm, maybe moving from on spot in FL to another spot in FL wasn't the best idea if you don't like the heat???
But seriously, I don"t even like to weed the garden, let alone sod an entire parcel. Hats of to you and the crew.

Yeah, I don't like the heat when you have to work but there's plenty to do around here to cool off. Sod was faster than waiting on seed and fighting washouts when it rains, we only sodded the sloped areas, I'm seeding the rest and calling it good.

I think it was 70 in Red Deer today but a little rainy. Calgary was beautiful yesterday, mid 70's.

Is summer over yet? I'm tired of having to wear my

It's pretty ugly for this time of year. Yesterday I was driving from Manhattan Beach to Pasadena on the 110, and around USC on the covered portion of the 110 (double deck freeway), the PW thermometer showed 116F. That was in the shade at about 50mph. Going through the tunnels by Dodger Stadium, it showed 113F in the tunnels. In the shade at 40mph. But the Indel B fridge in the back seat was still showing -20C.
