Vehicle Pranks

Post by R0NAN » Tue Jan 13, 2015 5:02 pm

What is the funniest vehicle related prank you ever pulled on someone) or had done to you)?
I have 2 to share:
1. Years ago my brother had a white Mazda 626. He was notorious for getting up late and scrambling off to work. My wife and I both worked for the post office and one week, Pizza Hut had flyers with red fridge magnets inside. Their malling list was outdated so there were many returned letters. Being that it was 3rd class mail, they were destined for recycling due to the lack of return postage. My wife and I gathered 100's of these red magnets and put them on my brothers car one morning before he went to work. Being late as usual, he didn't have time to remove them so he drove to work like that. His car looked like it had chicken pox. Apparently everyone was starring and pointing. Lol

2. There was this deaf guy who worked with us at the post office and he was constantly pulling pranks on a group of us coworkers. We decided to get him back one day. We strung together about 2 dozen tin cans together and put them under his car and tied them to the rear bumper. When he drove off after work it was quite noisy and funny to watch. I can only imagine all the smiles , pointing and looks he got. :D

In highschool we jacked up a buddies explorer and put oil change ramps under all 4 corners. He was gone on a weekend trip and it set like that for 4 days in the school parking lot.

Also got some old mattresses and laid them in the spots next a buddies bug... he came out of gradution to see it two spots over and upside down! That one was a little mean but no damage was done, it was a beater anyhow

Class of '76 put a VW on top of the gym building. It was only the body with tires in the wheel wells. The school hired a crane before they realized it only weighed a few hundred pounds...

My class of '78 picked up an MG and put it in a planter box. That actually turned into a headache - it fit quite snugly, so they ended up tearing out one end of the masonry planter.

Guy at work always used to "cock" peoples vehicles. He thought it was funny. Meaning: draw a picture of a cock & balls in the dirt/road grime/snow on your vehicle. He got the back window on my cap of my 88 Ford Ranger.......the glass was not glass at all, it was some type of acrylic. Well, the thing he drew was scratched into the window permanently.

So, i waited & got him back. He came into work one day bitching up a storm, about how his wife got her ass peeled by the School Supt. She took his car to work. He said that was just wrong. I laughed & said "so was the asshole that permanently scratched a cock on the back window of my truck cap." Then looked right at him & said "hows it feel ASSHOLE !!! Some toothpaste & a t-shirt & a little water took it off.....after a few hours of scrubbing.

There was a prank war going on at a shop where I had permission to work on my vehicle now and again and I got to witness an epic duel. It started with a small amount of gun powder in the end of someone's cigarettes. Go outside to light up...poof.

The retaliation after several exploding cigarettes was to move the driver's seat in Mr. Gun Powder's truck all the way to the rear (he was very short) and wire a smoke bomb to the seat mechanism. He gets in the vehicle pulls the seat forward and flash, smoke etc. He did not get out for a minute or two. He was so startled then there was so much smoke in the cab he could not find the door handle.

The final insult before the boss put a stop to it was something like 10,000 crickets from a pet supply store laced in Mr. Smoke Bomb's vehicle. It was cold when out so when they were put in there they were pretty dormant. Mr. Smoke Bomb warms up the vehicle and starts to drive home. Soon he hears a chirp or two. Drive a little more, get a little warmer, more chirps. Soon he has 10,000 live, moving and chirping crickets moving around the vehicle. Hilarity ensues as he pulls over and jumps from the vehicle doing the shake because he has no idea what is going on and is covered in bugs. Passerby sees this dance and calls 911 on this nut running around like a lunatic. The officer arrives to what must be one of those calls he will remember forever. Mr. Smoke Bomb finally had to re-enter the vehicle and drive it to a car wash and vacuum out as many of crickets as he could find. They were coming out of the dark recesses of the vehicle for months to come.

Lmao! Reminds me of the confetti down the defroster I saw done on a Ram before as retaliation to a TJ full of leaves in the fall... Luckily I was an innocent bystander for that war...

That shit is NOT funny to me at all, sorry. I wonder if he would have manned up if the poor bastard had a heart attack & died or crashed his vehicle & died or worse yet hit someone else ?

My rule: There are 3 things you don't fuck with: a mans family & his food & his vehicle.

I didn't even see the consequences of what i did as payback. I had no idea his wife was a teacher. What if she would have got fired ? I would have felt horrible, but ultimately he did it to himself by cocking everyone elses vehicles for years first. Not so funny when it came back around to him. That was the end of his cocking other peoples vehicles. That was 23 years ago. We are still friends, in fact, he just changed his job & we are working in the same area again. He still brings that up from time to time. Uses it as an example for the new guys that are pranksters. Plus, there are cameras everywhere now, including the parking lot, & that would be instant termination if ya got caught.

I was not advocating imitating their behavior. Watching those two trying to out idiot each other was something to see though. Many of their pranks resulted in visits by vehicles with flashing lights and sirens of one sort or another. The smoke bomb ended up starting a small fire in the vehicle for example, so I guess I should add a disclaimer. I don't advocate imitating the winners of the Darwin Awards either but they still make me laugh.

I know. I did not mean you. I mean the idiots who do these things. They never, ever, think it all the way through & often times endanger others. Thats all. It's all good. :D
