Resonator delete

I am thinking about deleting the resonator and running a pipe in its place that turns down just before the bumper. Have any of you deleted the resonator? If so, how did the delete affect the exhaust noise level. Was there any droning? How about when MDS is in eco mode?

One of the first mods I did when I got my truck was deleting the resonator and having it turn down almost. I added a magnaflow at the same time. It doesn't drone. But that's my setup.

First mod I did on my 2014 was the mufflex “drop” in muffler replacement. I wasn’t satisfied with the change in sound, so I had a muffler shop remove the resonator and weld on a dump pipe. The dump pipe lasted about 8 years and rusted off. I had a replacement pipe welded on but this time I had it run out the side behind the rear tire near where the stock resonantor/exhaust was located. After living with that combo as a hunting only truck for 10yrs and 60k miles, I’m glad it’s gone. It was loud on the highway, had horrible drone at like 3 different speeds, was worse in 6th gear, so I routinely turned ON tow/haul to keep the motor at a higher RPM which helped with the drone. I am not planning on installing either the mufflex or removing the resonantor again on my 24, well maybe the mufflex just to save weight over the ridiculously huge OEM muffler—my build thread has pictures and the dB readings I tool at the time.
