New member here. I don't have a PW but y'all seem to be the right sort of people to talk to.
Got a 2011 2500 with the crappy 10.5 with 3.73s. I'm wanting to run 5.13s so I can tow my boat with my 37s way more easily. I live in North Alabama and there is ZERO flat land between my house and the boat launch.
I picked up an 11.5 out of a 2012 CTD thinking it would be an easy swap which technically it is EXCEPT for the abs/wheel speed sensors.
My truck has a center mounted diff sensor and this axle has individual wheel sensors. And there's no tone ring on the diff I bought.
Question #1: is the spacer behind the ring gear just to fill the gap for the non existent tone ring
If so, can I add a ring, drill the housing on the machined flat on the housing? I'm a machinist so no worries with that.
Question #2: if there's no way to add a ring, can I turn off the rear wheel speed sensor in the truck using ALFAOBD as I found a setting for that.
