My 1978 power wagon has a charging system problem. I've replaced alternator and voltage regulator. The battery two times still dosent charge. I'm getting frustrated and curious to how else has had this problem and how they solved it

Re: Charging system problem
Check your cables. You may have a bad cable. Also your grounding spots for good contact.

Re: Charging system problem
Test your fusible links. It's part of the wiring harness where it connects to the battery. They're usually marked or identified in a wiring diagram. You can get replacements at any good auto parts store.
Also if your truck has an actual amp gauge, the power from the alternator runs through that gauge first before it enters the rest of the electrical system. Check your main wiring harness bulkhead connector at the firewall for corrosion or melting where those wires pass through and check your connections on the back of the amp gauge.
Good luck!
