Hello from Oregon

Post by OutdoorsInOregon » Tue Nov 29, 2022 12:48 am

Hello everyone,

Have had my 2012 Power Wagon for some months now, but first time on the forum. I bought it from the GSA government auction, where it had been a fire command vehicle with the BLM in southern Oregon. It seems to have spent a lot of time on gravel roads at high speed based on the condition of the shocks and the rocks in the skid plates.

Over the last few months, I've been getting the truck back to stock condition, performing routine maintenance, preparing it for a camper, and getting it ready for some off road camping trips.

I've been documenting my progress on youtube (https://www.youtube.com/@outdoorsinoregon/videos) for anyone interested in this sort of thing. It's not a commercial or sponsored channel, just me working on the Power Wagon and other things on my property.

Anyway, I'm seeing some interesting topics on the forum, so thought I'd join so I can start commenting and joining in on the fun. :D

LOL. Yes, I understand the virtues of over-spending on truck and 4x4 upgrades, but I'm trying to restrain myself. I did splurge a bit for on-board air, but not planning any big ticket items. The camper already emptied my pockets.
