I probably have some some self tappers in the garage but I had to order extra 4 and 6 pin plugs to the tune of $70+. If you're not going to include those plugs I think buyers should know, the existing instructions call out for plugs so I expected them to be included.
What plugs are you talking about to block off existing harness?Reloaderguy wrote:I received mine this week. There's no screws or OE plugs to block off the existing harness. I thought that's what you was saying. I have one of the first few that Morgan built and he included them in his kits. My truck was still under warranty at the time and it was comforting to know if I had a problem, I could put it all back to factory and take it in. But, I've actually had zero problems with the lockers since I installed the kit, before it had been to the dealer about 5 or 6 times because the lockers wouldn't work.CajunPW wrote:Will wrote:What plugs are you talking about to block off existing harness?Reloaderguy wrote:I received mine this week. A connector to block off the factory harness at the front and rear locker connector, however they are weather pack connectors with tin coated pins. Should you ever have to return the vehicle back to stock a little contact cleaner or WD-40 will clean them up. Plus you'd have to do that even if you have the additional connectors to block them off.
If yall would like I will start including them
Admittedly I am not familiar with all of the connectors. I went through the connector replacement page. As someone else mentioned, I have a one month old truck, the likelihood of needing to take the truck in for warranty is high and I would rather not have the factory plug exposed to the elements.CajunPW wrote:Reloaderguy wrote:I received mine this week. The original instructions have been amended as the extra connectors aren't required. These connectors are weather pack. If you would have emailed me i would have gladly sent them, but they are no where near 70 bucks for one of each connector.
Weather pack or not, I would like the two connector covers - I was surprised they were not included.CajunPW wrote:Will wrote:What plugs are you talking about to block off existing harness?Reloaderguy wrote:I received mine this week. For $70 the connectors better be gold plated, right?Reloaderguy wrote:I received mine this week. There's no screws or OE plugs to block off the existing harness.
