Forgive my ignorance, but why is it a big deal that the drum rotates in a different direction?

I don't think it is, personally. But what made it a big deal is Dodge/Ram wanted one made to "their specs". That way, you have to go to them for service....at least I think that's what they were thinking. Many of the specs on our winches, are the same as the M15000. Some speculate it is just rated lower for liability reasons. Ours do have a LVI (low voltage interupt) and a TPS (thermal protection shutdown) circuits on them. That is also a Dodge/Ram thing---not on the M15000. Liberals, trying to save us from ourselves ? Or someones idea on how to gouge the customer for more $$$$$ when it fails, later down the road ?

It's not a big deal, it's done out of necessity so that the cable feeds from the top of the drum rather than the bottom for correct clearance and positioning behind the front bumper for the application. (I think) :run:

Front driveshaft/Propeller shaft

https://www.napaonline.com/en/search?te ... orm-newveh

NOTE: There IS a difference in length of the d-shaft on a manual transmission & auto transmission. Manual trans front d-shaft is 16.5" (transmission is 3" longerr) than the auto transmission, who's front d-shaft is 13.5".

Mopar Part # 55366066AB

Or you can make your own set up using a turnbuckle that is closed on both ends & adding your own jam nuts, bolts, washers, nuts & bushings. Like seen here, in the top left corner: https://www.google.com/search?biw=1440& ... cDvJ4gBgVM:

Front locker/CAD wire for 2014+ trucks. $40 replacement cost.

This is what happens when you break the connector lock tab and don't remove the pushpins for clearance.

And the newer style connector lock tab (red) whereas the stock was gray and completely disintegrated the first time I tried to remove it. This one's been removed 3-4 times no problem.

Defiant is closed, unfortunately. Can I take his spot? Lol
I got a light bar and some light brackets from Defiant when my truck was new, and the quality is as good as anything I have ever seen. When I checked with the guys at Wilco Offroad, they told me they had Defiant's production drawings and could fab at least some of the Defiant products if you need them.

Also the driveshaft on the G56 trucks is steel, and the driveshaft on the autos is aluminum.

IMO it does not matter at all as the gears are straight toothed, just a polarity switch. Probably mostly production and marketing reasons as mentioned...

I am am going to be pulling the engine on my 06 impreza wagon in the next little bit and have been thinking about little modifications that I could do to the car. I'm thinking of putting a cold air intake, headers and maybe upgraded clutch.

What would be a good air intake to go with?
Also for exhaust I'm not sure what would sound good for it, any ideas?
Hahahah, wtf?!

The guy’s from Sri Lanka (or so says his profile) and he’s been making a few weird posts here. I think this either a really good bot, or just somebody confused about what kind of wagon website they’re on.

P/N for 2019+ Black Front/Rear Bumpers?

Post by BigBlueOx » Tue Nov 23, 2021 9:02 am

Hi crew, I recently picked up a ‘21 Tradesman with the PW package. Perfect truck in my view, with a FEW exceptions...namely, the plethora of chrome and poor factory lighting...

Does anyone have the part numbers for the black front/rear bumpers that come standard on “official” 5th gen. PWs? I know that if I go to my local dealership, they’re going to give me a dumb look and ask me for my VIN...

Many thanks!

Request:

My 05 is missing the winch! Does anyone have a good recommendation for an aftermarket winch set up?

Thanks!
