Regions

Ok, looking to create the regional topic areas. Need some input on how to set them up. I've sort of got this as a starting point and let's go from there.
Northeast Region
CT, DE, ME, MA, NH, NJ, NY, RI, VT
Mid-Atlantic Region
DC, MD, NC, PA, VA, WV
Great Lakes Region
IL, IN, IA, MI, MN, MO, OH, WI
Southeast Region
AL, AR, FL, GA, KY, LA, MS, SC, TN
Great Plains Region
KS, NE, ND, OK, SD
Southwest Region
AZ, CA, CO, NM, NV, TX, UT
Northwest Region
AK, ID, MT, OR, WA, WY
Pacific Region
HI
and the Northern dudes up there with the polar bears and stuff

Unless I can't count, and that's a real possibility, you're missing some states - Hawaii, Texas and ??

I thought CA disappeared in the last earthquake and TX was a country!?!?
Ok, ok... That's what I get for not sleeping and trying to think.

I like the first one or the last one myself (except that the Dakotas should be in the Central Plains and not the Rocky Mtns)

I may be nit-picking, but I've never heard of CA being in the Southwest.
I think #2 and #3 are the most accurate.

If NJ and NY are in the Northeast, I would think PA needs to be there too, no? Since they are both surround PA.

We want NC in the SE --- I can get to NC faster than SC and go camping there often...

I agree, NJ & DE should be part of Mid-Atlantic, where NY and above should be Northeast.

I like the Census map. It makes more sense. The CDC map is good, too, but I think that was designed more based on other criteria specific for the CDC.
