Hood latch return spring?

Post by pzoeller » Fri May 10, 2024 8:07 pm

Evening all,

Apologies in advance as I'm sure somewhere on the interweb, this has been answered already but my googling skills aren't up to it apparently.....

Was topping up a slow leaking tire today with a cheap compressor that plugs into the cigarette lighter. Managed to blow the fuse so popped the hood and replaced it and when I closed the hood, it wouldn't latch on the primary latch.

Long story short.........no simple job can't take a hard left turn.

I've broken the spring in the picture and my drawer of random stuff/hardware hasn't provided a solution.

I assume a stupid question in this day and age but is it possible to buy just the spring or is the whole assembly to be replaced?

Thanks much,

Phillip
