T-Case Position Sensor Replacement

Post by ramv » Fri May 10, 2024 4:31 pm

I got the "4wd shift in progress" message the other day. Fortunately, I have the BD 2wd low range so even if it tries it won't shift, just illuminate the LED on the switch. I bought a new sensor, Mopar part 6821 1454AA; but I can't figure out where the sensor is on the T-Case. I felt around but couldn't find it. The cats were a little hot so I didn't try from the passenger side, but I assumed it would be on the drivers side?

Any pictures or tips? Not urgent, I cycled into 4wd and back a few times and it seems fine again.

The sensor is on the driver's side. Just above the transfer case shift linkage coming out of the case.

Damn forum won't let me copy and paste a picture.
