Wheel/Tire Upgrade Questions on a 2020

Post by jupp0r » Wed Aug 19, 2020 6:09 pm

Hi,

I'm planning to upgrade to 37s later this year. I think I'll use Hutchinson's double beadlocks for peace of mind of loosing a bead off road and still be DOT compliant. From my research, these should have +12mm offset and the correct bolt pattern: https://ok4wd.com/hutchinson-rock-monst ... e-trucks-1. Tire-wise I was thinking Cooper ST Maxx 37x12.50r17.

Does that sound reasonable?

What can I expect in terms of trimming/pinch weld bashing?

Does anybody have experience reprogramming speedometer, transmission shift points and TPMS thresholds on these newer trucks?

Thanks!

I just put the ST Maxx 37x12.5x17 on AEV salta wheels +28 offset on my 2018. I have a little rub on the drives side where my mudflap is/was. So far i have decided that i can live with the small amount of rub that i hear on certain angles. i may decide to trim the pinch weld later on. I use the AlphaOBD to reset my tire size which seems to automatically readjust my transmission shift points.I also use the alphaobd for tpms settings too (and about anything else that is adjustable)

2017 PW running 37" Toyo MT's on factory rims with 2" spacers on front. NO wheel well rub at all, not even on back-bottom at full turn. Have rub on stabilizer bar at full turn (but who does that in PW). TPMS stays on. I can not find anyone to change for me and/or a way to get changed (currently running 44psi all the way around). Speedometer adjustments done with Hypertech Speedometer Calibrator (will also do new gear ratios).
