There’s a member in one of the Facebook groups that I believe is a parts manager. He has been hooking people up with the drag link as part of the recall. Unfortunately I don’t remember his name, but you might contact a dealer and see if they will give you a 19 link for the recall.

Mopar paid for my Synergy drag link replacement as part of the warranty claim.

Surprised FCA is selling, rather than replacing. I stopped in Charleston, SC largest Ram dealer several months ago and the parts person said FCA had a replacement, but he could not sell a 2019 drag link except to owners of a 2019. I thought about going the Synergy route, but have took no further action and I have yet to go in for the recall. So far the OE set up is doing fine and jam nuts remain tight.

If you have not had the recall done, you can buy the synergy drag link and have FCA pay for it. You can reach out to Dave Schlossberg at Synergy who should be able to give you the info you need. Be sure to tell them or put in the notes that you heard about it from PWIM.
See screenshots attached. Many members have had success with this. It's a better upgrade than the factory anyhow.
I believe this is where you go afterwards to submit stuff:

But it seems you need to have not had the recall done already.

They will inspect it, if it is bad thry will replace it with a new one and they will weld the nuts, at least that is what they did on mine.

I had the recall done on my truck.didn't make any difference how it steered.
I finally did the whole front end on my truck. Carli level kit, springs, shocks and sway bar end links. Thuren control arms. Synergy steering kit, tie rod and drag link. I had already installed locking hubs, Carli ball joints and a Carli track bar.

https://www.moparpartscounter.com/v-201 ... ring-shock Definitely a different design from both Synergy and the OEM link. Yep, it ain't cheap. The dealer in SC said FCA plans to replace the links with newer desgin, but no date set.

Does anybody know if FCA will replace the ones they have already welded?

local dealer told me they heard fca was planning to replace recalled versions with updated units but couldnt say when. whether that includes welded units, i dont know but i would assume so, as the weld was just suppose to be temporary until something permant came about, thats how i understood it anyway. its funny that 500k are recalled and yet i havent seen or heard of a single failed unit. i guess theres a 'possibility' it could fail
your options are to continue using your current part, which seems a perfectly logical decision imo. perhaps at some point you may get issued a updated part
buy the updated part now . guys on other forums claim its only $135, despite the parts fish i looked at that shows over $600
buy aftermarket at $300

How would you compare the synergy link to the factory one? Is one better built over the other?

my synergy is still sitting in the garage so i cant comment on anything about how well it works. website says it 1.5" x .250 dom tube but no mention of the steel grade. ends are forged 1080 housing with 4140 pin and oversize ball, no mention of who the manufacturer is but hopefully they arent made in china. seems like there was a part number on one of them, maybe i could research it and find out. i dont know anything about the factory link regarding its grade of steel or diameter but im sure its nothing special. as for which is a stronger unit, i would have to say synergy for sure

Wanted to post an update...spoke with FCA Ram customer care and was told “ in order to realign the truck properly the dealer or shop must cut off the welds and the metal sleeve will take some damage. I was also told that I should push for a free replacement part. I was then told call the FCA recall center...
After speaking with the recall center. They were nice enough to create a case. I will be receiving a call back from FCA recall specialist manager and they will do what they can to get me a new part. The lady I spoke with Brianna was very nice and she told me there is a way for the dealer to go around not giving a replacement if they’ve welded it. then she passed it up her chain of command and she said I’ll be hearing within 1 to 2 business days.
As soon as I get a confirmation I will let you guys know the outcome and I’ll post my case number so you can can FCA recall center and have yours replaced as well.

After being passed up the chain to a star case manager, they say there’s nothing they can do because my track bar is within specs and welded. FCA IS calling this their permanent solution to the track bar problem. They won’t reimburse me for the synergy because mine was welded already. This is pretty ridiculous. Every time the truck needs an alignment the welds must’ve broke and then aligned then re-welded.

It's OK. They will just change you a few hundred each time to do that.

Did they cite a URL? On MOPAR Parts Counter Website it lists for $600+. For some reason late models truck parts are slow to release. This is the only site I've seen thus far where 2019 model year link is available.
