Gang,
Have a ‘19 PW and the axle unlock button is flashing orange. I’m assuming that the axle unlock feature is malfunctioning and I need to take it to the dealer. Is this correct?
Thanks,
Ray

Kind of need more details. I mean is it just flashing going down the road, or when you try to use it?

Did you push the button again to unlock it? They'll trip from locked once you get over 25 mph or so.
Like above, not enough details.

I believe the 19s may be different as well. I was hoping they re-designed them to work.

Sorry for the lack of info, it flashes whether you are stationary or moving, in 2wd or 4wd hi. Also, couldn't find anything about it in the 2019 owners manual. Made an appt with the dealer to bring it in. Will keep ya'll posted in case anyone else in the future has this problem.

Try turning them on and off while moving about 5 mph with some lock to lock turns on gravel. They can torque lock.

If yours engage regularly, you are way ahead of 2018 and prior owners. Our front ones rarely engaged with out modification. Disengaging issues are simply a matter of removing the tension from the axles. That will be a problem with any manual lockers.

I have a 19, but have only had time to test in the driveway. So far I am consistently able to lock/unlock both lockers only after full stop-to-stop turn of the steering wheel while idling forward in 4L. Seems like same is required for quickest sway bar disengage/engage.

Well my front sway bar disconnect has actually never worked, I gave up on that. Guess they use a terrible connector that comes loose, gets dirt in it, ect, ect. Never worked, not even when I bought it, dealer fixed under warranty and charged me one time. I don't do a ton of real wheeling and you don't have to have it, so I have not rewired it like the locker controls. I thought the new ones were supposed to work in 4 high? Thats always the rumor.

The connector at the 'smart-bar' is a locking lever/cam design that is substantial, and like all the electrical connectors on the RAM (and for that matter any modern vehicle) are well sealed.
I find it difficult to believe that it wasn't repaired under warranty and/or you weren't diligent about making it so or finding another dealer that could. Surely there is more than one in ABQ...

They said connector was loose under warranty, went back and they said it had mud in it and handed me a 90.00 bill to add grease, next time out did not work. Most everyone on here fights this connector. I have not looked for it yet.

It is right on the swaybar actuator. Large, flat, with a locking handle that operates the cam lock. Easy to get to and very positive in its' engagement. I've not read of people fighting with it.

Little update to my original post, took the truck into the dealer and the service advisor said it was a wire being pinched by the suspension from the factory install and grounding out. They repaired and no more flashing light! Thanks for the help.
