3G snorkel

Post by stamm20 » Wed Jul 17, 2019 6:04 pm

Does anyone know where to buy a snorkel for a third gen? I have looked around and haven't found anything for third gens anymore. Crazy how parts for them are getting hard to find.

I looked for one for a while and couldn’t find one either. I think they may have discontinued them as there wasn’t enough demand.

I just emailed the rocky-road.com website to confirm that what they are showing available is still available. Wonder what shipping from Austraillia is like?

Edit: looks like the company is out of Utah but they come from Austrailia? Anyhow they do have them for the 3G PW'S!! Might have to order one up and see how it goes.

I had an Airflow on my '05 and it was an easy install. Just be careful with that 4" holesaw bit while going through the fender. If it grabs, it'll rip your shoulder out of your socket. If you're lucky.... You'll sucker punch yourself in the mouth as well. Go slow and you'll be fine.

Ordered one from Rocky Road Outfitters today Jan.2023. Will see if they can still get them.
I hit a big puddle of water at speed, at night, in a rainstorm. Splashed big time up on the hood. Glad it didn't hydro-lock.

Received my snorkel yesterday. It was drop-shipped from a "distributor" named:
Automotive Customizers/4x4parts.com
1700 NW 22nd CT
Pompano Beach, FL 33069
https://www.4x4parts.com/c-1180036-airf ... dodge.html
(same listed price as Rocky Road Outfitters)

I posted this just in case Rocky Road stops dealing with them in the future.

BTW- what is heck is Black Mastic they are talking about in the instructions? Roofing cement?
P.S. I ordered some silkaflex 221 polyurethane adhesive. Sounds good.
