Alternate approach to get truck PIN?

So I got to the dealer to get the truck pin and I'm told that
a) They don't give them out.
b) Even if they wanted to, they only get 6 per day and need them for keys and other parts. No idea if this is a lie or not.
So there are other dealers around, and I'll pursue that, but are there other approaches to get this?

Lol well they are obviously jerking you around. Each truck has its own pin so they don’t get 6 per day.

Yeah they are full of shit. There was another guy awhile back whose dealer tried charging $50 bucks for it.
Go to another dealer. Or call their bullshit.

if your wanting the pin so you can lower the tpms, all you have to do is walk into the service or parts with the truck registration and a driver liscense that matches the name on registration. 5min later you will have the pin. they have no motive not to give you the pin. dealers are kinda stupid and maybe they didnt understand what you wanted. i believe theres a seperate pin for making spare key fobs or something but that pin should be obtained just as easy i would think

I think it's the same PIN. There is supposedly a different type of PIN you need to build a key if someone had managed to lose every remote, it changes every 72 hours and that is not supposed to be easy to get as that allows you to build a working remote and key for a vehicle with just the VIN.
I'll try the parts manager tomorrow.
Thanks

I was told the same thing. About 3weeks ago FCA told them they can't give them out and something about the 6 per day. Sounds like the same story I got.

They are obviously not understanding what you are asking for. Each truck has its own 4-digit PIN for certain changes like the TPMS thresholds. I went into my dealer and they tried to tell me there was an FCA memo that required a $25 charge for it. At that moment I left because I didn't have time to argue. When returned I told them B.S. and show me this policy. I told them I called FCA customer service and they could find no mention of such a memo or policy. Parts manager then said "hmm, maybe they changed it on us." He then went and got my PIN after verifying I owned the vehicle from my registration, VIN and driver's license. There is another PIN that is 5 or 6 digits that you aren't asking for. You want the 4-digit PIN that goes with your trucks VIN.

I did the same as above. Brought in the title, registration and my license and told them I wanted my vehicle PINS. They did ask why I would want that information at which point I told them it really wasn't their business to know and as I own the vehicle then I own the information. Then they charged me $25. I'm thinking this may have something to do with all of the tuning and modifying options that are available now. I know what I needed my PIN for and man was it worth it to get the TPMS and tire size reset.

So my first attempt was at Larry H. Miller, and they were just not going to give it out. So I went to Melloy Dodge yesterday and the lady in parts didn't know what I was asking, but eventually gave me what she called the "key code" and that worked to program the RF hub.

I went to my local dealer to try and get the PIN, and they said they didn't have any idea what I was talking about and that they don't use any sort of PIN at all. That they have there own special system that doesn't require a PIN.
