Changeable Settings at Dealer

Going to run by the dealer in the morning. I am going to have them check for the PTO setting, and lower the annoying air pressure warning. But what else can they change while they are in there? Is there a list somewhere?

Maybe see if they can get the adjustible idle setup using the cruise control buttons.

You might want to look at an AEV ProCal if you want to change the tire settings. Also allows you to Recalibrate speedometer for larger tires (up to 48" tall), Axle gear ratio recalibration (3.21-4.88), Turn one-touch lane change on/off, and Turn fog lights with high beams on/off (off-road use only). For $170 bones it isn't a bad investment. I really like the ability to keep the fog lights on when the high beams are on.

Second for the AEV Procal. The dealer likely can't do much for you. I have my foglights on, tire pressures adjusted and speedo adjusted perfect for my 315/70Rs. A lot easier to use than the old Hypertechs and such. It will do gears too.

What did the dealer have to do for you for the TPMS change?

Just know for Toyota and Ford the dealer can change all kinds of fun things. Even turn off annoying door beepers ect.

There's a thread about "How to set TPMS to ANY pressure" on the RAM Cummins forum it might be worth a look.

We can turn off the door beeper too. It's a manual process. Its like click and unclick drivers seatbelt 3 times real fast then turn off truck and listen for double chime. There are videos on it. It works!

I might know a guy that can change tpms thresholds. Not sure about idle up, pretty sure my truck won't allow that.
I'll ask him next time I see him.

Even with the AEV Procal you have to go to the dealer to finish the TPMS settings. Otherwise you’ll still get a light. Just skip setting them with the Procal and have your dealer set them exactly where you want them. Pressure options are limited in the Procal, the dealer can put in any number you want. You can specify psi for the front and the back separately(actually each wheel is different). For the older trucks you can have different settings if you have the light load button. Mine are set at 45 front, 37 rear for light load and 45 front and rear for heavy load. It’s a 2013, I think the last year for the light load option, but it still programs like the newer trucks. If the dealer says they can’t change it, find another or figure out how to convince him to try using the process in the link above. Whether they can or can’t has been discussed already. They can. That horse is glue. Lol
The Procal is great for getting the speedometer right though.

No, the dealer can not. The Witech had the TPMS threshold setting for the BCM removed back in 2015. The only way to change your TPMS settings is with a Autel Maxsys, Auto Enginuity, or a ProCal. The second two options require the dealer to reset the BCM using the 4 digit key programming code.

So the dealer didn’t do this to my truck about two months ago? Sorry your info is out of date. Yes it was removed, the ability has been put back. Read the threads. Everyone keeps saying it can’t be done by the dealer, but the dealers keep doing it. You just have to have a dealer that will work with you.

Correct. 12 and older use a different system. 13 and up are programmed the same.
Talked to a diesel guy online when I was working on getting a Procal. Told him what my dealer did for me after I took it in initially, he was able to get his redone at the dealer also. His was a late model.

They were not interested honestly. They wont do the air pressure change, and it does sound like the idle control may not be part of our software because the transmission cannot except a PTO.

Which dealer you using? I’m trying to figure out which of the 2 vaguely convenient dealer I can use or if I should look at Santa Fe or los Lunas too.

Did he just do the TPMS change? I'm renting two devices to do the TPMS, tire size, and fog lights during low beams from a guy with a website that rents them out on the cummins forums. I want all three done but it takes two devices if the dealer won't work with u.
