anyone have experience with this code: p0171?..truck runs fine she just turned 100,000m...something about running on the lean side..

The P0171 code means that on the drivers side bank of the engine (bank #1), the fuel system is running weak or a vacuum leak exists. A lean condition occurs when the engine either receives too little fuel or too much air. Since it's lean only on one bank and not both, I would suspect a vacuum leak rather than starving for fuel. Probably a leaking intake manifold gasket, but would need more testing to confirm. Find a shop around you that has a smoke machine for finding vacuum leaks.

also possible aging (lazy) upstream o2 sensor.

picked up the truck from dealer..had airbag recall...no engine light....they found a p1684 code low voltage..rain the day the p0171 code came on while idling in the driveway..going deer hunting this wknd..hope nothing lights up
