!!!WHEELS!!! for the Power Wagon

Post by Hunter87 » Sat Feb 04, 2017 10:29 am

Forgive me if it already exist, I didn't find a thread on after market rims.

I was hoping to see some pictures and links to rims that can hold up to our trucks and their intended uses. I likely won't be rock crawling much but still want to have rims that are strong enough when tested.

I was looking at these,

Those you're looking at are the wrong bolt pattern for the ram hd, and the weight rating is lower than factory.

Check; method, AEV, trail ready, walker evans, kmc, raceline etc.

Do you want just the rims, or complete wheels?

Terminology is a pet peeve, so couldn't resist. Best deal on a suitable wheel will be a set of Hummer H2 wheels with the center bored to fit the PW hubs. Most aftermarket wheels are not as good as the factory PW wheels, and most will force you to give up the internal bead lock lip. Why compromise?

The whole wheel. I wasn't aware that rim was the referring to something else.

The "wheels" I linked are available in 8x6.5 though I'm not married them.

Preference is the only real reason behind wanting different wheels. Also want to eliminate all the chrome on my truck fit the she reason.

I'm sure you're aware that the stock rims are not chrome...

Like many, a wheel change has a lot to do with not just aesthetics, but the width and backspacing. I personally like the looks of the stockers, just wish they had a little less backspacing and were a little wider.

I will happily take your factory wheels. Seriously. Let me know when you do the swap.

That's why I went with CenterLine rims. 17x9, with 5 1/4" back spacing. Plus they are forged.

Here's a question for you guys. Do you think that pro-comp rim is stout enough to lift a side by the spokes ? Like this:

Rims are only for ricers and lowriders. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

From wikipedia

Rim (wheel), the outer part of a wheel on which the tire is mounted.

Wheel
A wheel is a circular component that is intended to rotate on an axle bearing. The wheel is one of the main components of the wheel and axle.

Urban Dictionary

Rim
To lick someone's anus with your tongue. Called "rimming" because it's done around the rim of the anus.

Wheel
Trying to, or the act of picking up a girl.

Okay guys, I have been looking for wheels that;
A. Won't compromise ride quality
B. Can hold up to our road use (I'm an avid hunter, but I'm no rock crawler)
C. Have the look I want.

What do you think of these,
http://www.fueloffroad.com/beast-d564-w-19186.htm

There are pictures on that link and the Land Cruiser has the tire wheel size I'd be going for.
