For those running balance beads, some questions!

I contemplating beadlocks which pretty much means balance beads around here. (precious few tire places will touch beadlocks, one 4x4 place will (but, I wouldn't let them within 10 feet of my truck after what happened last time I dealt with them), and another might, maybe, may, possibly balance them) I've tried balance beads once before (I don't recall what brand but, one of the better reputation ones on the market) on my truck and they had no effect (well, may have made the imbalance worse, tough to tell) BUT, the tires were bad. (flawed, got refund after no one could balance)

Do you daily drive (and long trip drive) your bead balanced tire shod rig?

What brand balance beads are you using, have they been effective?

What quantity are you using per tire?

Are you running them in tires that are known to be prone to imbalance or ones that are known to be well balanced?

Light weight tires or heavy?

^these two are an attempt at gauging efficacy since I would be running them in heavy, hard to balance tires (37x12.50R17 Pitbull Rocker XOR LT radials)

Have you run them for the life of a set of tires?

^when dismounting those tires, did you notice any undue wear on the inside of the tire or wheel?

For those running Hutchinsons, did you notice any undue wear on the beadlock insert?

Thanks y'all!!!!

I know a few guys using just air soft bbs. Not going to do inside the rim weights? Did that on my srt so no weights were visible on the outside of the rim. I'd get someone to spin it on a balancer though and find out the weight needed to balance then throw the correct weight of beads in

I've been running hutchinsons with balance beads and toyo mt's in 35x12.50 and now 37x13.50 for about 5 years now on my daily driver/farm truck/weekend warrior. No strange wear on anything ever internally or externally. The beauty of balance beads is that the tire never has to be balanced again. Can't loose a weight in the mud and they compensate for tire wear by their very nature. They are not a bandaid fix for tire/rim problems they are a viable long term solution for extending tire life. Airsoft bb's aren't ideal but will work, so will antifreeze and several other media, but the best option I've found are the ceramic beads from innovative balancing. They are very small so they have fine distribution and they won't mess anything up in the long term. Hutchinsons with pit bulls will be heavy so err on the side of caution in the weight of beads you use. My combo with 37" toyos I run 10-12 oz and it's smooth as butter. Good luck with whatever you end up doing!

I have 35x12.50 toyo ATII extreme on h2 wheels and the local shop installed beads instead of doing weights. I have about 20k on them and like not having to deal with rebalancing them, ever. I don't know the brand or how much they installed though. It almost feels like when you hit a big pot hole (michigan roads) at 25-35 mph it upsets the distribution of them and then takes a bit for it to rebalance itself out - which you can feel when it happens.
