Andy, HOW ABOUT YOU FIND THE SEARCH BUTTON AND FIGURE IT OUT ON YOUR OWN!
Welcome to the PWR.

There are a few smartasses around these parts, but most are very nice and helpful.
Like stamm stated, there is a list to get on... but good luck with that. I emailed him long ago, what seems like a half year ago, and still havnt heard boo. I guess hes a real busy man.

He stopped making them a couple of years ago shortly after he traded his Power Wagon.
CajunPW took over production, but don't know if he's still making them

Let me know what you find. I'd be interested in the bypass kit for a 2015 since this thread is going.

-Morgan (myyoung) designed and start fabbing the by-pass, then one day he sort of fell off the grid. After putting considerable $ in mods/upgrades, he sold his PW, bought a 1500 Outdoorsman, and poof was gone.
- Cajun and maybe Pit Slave started making them on sporadic intervals, but nothing sustainable. I think Cajun got all the plans and schematics from Morgan to make his version, not sure where it stands as of now. Starting to look like the by-pass is becoming hen's teeth....should probably hold on to mine...

Is it just a computer controller you plug into the truck, or is there more to it than that?

Guys, use the search function and do some reading. The information is all there. Nobody is making them currently anyway, so it's not like you need to inform your decision on whether or not to get one.

Here's the cliff notes: crawl under your truck and clip the wires to your transfer case then wire in a resistor or potentiometer (because the exact ohm resistor that's required is still up in the air). Easy peasy and won't affect your warranty in any way

. j/k, proceed at your own risk. I would like to do the mod, however my lockers lock right up with the combination of 4lo and throwing the tranny into neutral then drive. It WOULD be nice to have the ability to fully lock up in 4hi or rear in 2wd but I'm assessing the risk/reward at this point.

Rear locker in 2Hi would be nice. I use it now and used it alot on my raptor.

Does the Raptor have any limitations on their locker system like the PW does (speed limit, 4 low, throttle mapping)?
Was it quick to lock up?
Just wondering.

Only safety was that it unlocked over 30 mph.
The raptor and my superduty rear locker locks up almost instantly and it doesn't require any dancing. Sometimes I just have to creep forward slightly.

Why Cant we just find the 4low wire on the t-case and run a small switch on the dash so it thinks it is in 4low? Or is that way to easy.
PS. I have done a lot of looking around and there is no definite answers.

It works on the 3rd gens. I would think if you found the right resistor ohms it would work. I have one on my 07 and it works great.

Why do we need to have a resistor in the line to a switch?

The computer knows what position it is in from the ohms coming from the sensor.

The other thing that was kind of nice about the myoung kit is that is was plug and play and utilized the factory knob on the dash.
But I am all for an added switch for it to function too!

If there is no option for a plug and play kit, this option if it works on newer trucks is less than 20 bucks. Took me about an hour. It still limits the speed on the swaybar disco, but I have lockers in 2hi and 4hi.

I would wager that there is a good chance that the ohms are the same as the earlier trucks. Same T case, and probably the same sensor. Someone with a new truck needs to be brave...[FEARFUL FACE]

Never mind, I forgot they changed transfer cases. Somebody still needs to try it.

Someone did try it. ACBoomer16 did it at the end of this thread.
http://forum.powerwagonregistry.org/vie ... f=2&t=3953
He said he adjusted his variable potentiometer to 49.2 ohms. Radio Shack has a 47 ohm 5% tolerance resistor that may do the trick, or just do what ACBoomer16 did with a potentiometer.
Yes you too can have your own homemade plug and play locker bypass on your new truck for $20 and you don't have to cut the factory harness.
