Looking to see who's in California.
I'm in SoCal. Located in Vista next to Camp Pendleton.
Thinking if we get an idea where everybody is maybe we could do a run to Anza Borrego or possibly Big Bear.
Thoughts and input greatly appreciated.

High Desert here. Been taking the truck out to some remote spots in the Mojave and having a blast lately. Would be fun to get a group trip together.

Our winch lines can't be longer than 10 feet, and the lockers have a safety button that requires pulling off the diff cover to engage them.
Oh, and we can only drive in designated arenas so as to not scare the native Prius population.

Gold Mountain is a fun one. I've wanted to try Dishpan Springs. Anyone done it in a power wagon? Also Pilot Rock is pretty fun for of camber rutted out hill climbs. January may have snow on all of those.

I think Pilot Rock burned this summer, so less sagebrush to pinstripe the paint and it's usually below the snow level.

Deserts in the winter, mountains in the summer.
The Joshua Tree area also has some old mines, lots of trails and dune action. (same with Anza Borrego)

I notice your lights and fogs are on, but not your cab lights. Is that some type of cali-daytime-running-light special addition?

Good Eye! It is, I consider anything past Silverwood Lake to essentially be Pilot Rock. I'm technically wrong.

I don't know - Never noticed. Maybe its just the angle of the sun making them appear they aren't on. I know they work in the dark...

I'm down in Temecula. I've down Gold Mtn before. Be ready to use your skid plates and I would not do this trail unless you have quality rock rails.

Me too. Did not hit my sliders but did my skids. Ran it on the stock AT's and put my first dent on the rear bumper the first time I ran it. Tore those tires to hell. The KM2's in this picture didn't do so well either...
