For those of you who have the 4th Gen Locker By-Pass

So I have the first 4th Gen Locker By-Pass that Morgan sold sitting in a box and never installed sitting on a shelf in my garage collecting dust, and I'm still up in the air on installing it. I know all the pros to the by-pass, but my biggest concern is having somebody flip the locker switch and screwing stuff up once its installed. Has anybody with the kit ran into any issues that made them wish they hadn't installed it?

If you accidentally bump the locker switch, you'll have no problems going in a straight line, and realize what you did and fix it when you try to turn. If you try to turn at high speed with the lockers on accidentally, you'll probably less than pleased with the handling.

If someone else is driving and flips the lockers on, they'll probably realize they screwed up, or hopefully just stop and call to ask what's wrong with your truck when it starts bucking like a bronco when they try to get it to turn.

You could remove cartridge fuse J-10 to completely power down the system and eliminate any hazards, then just pop the fuse back in when you're ready to lock up.

This has never been an issue for me. You'd feel the lockers the instant you started to turn and could simply turn them off.

4th gen bypass uses the factory rotary dial.

Yea, only down side I see is accidentally turning them on. But I'm basically the only one that drives my truck and it's kind of hard to "accidentally" turn a knob on the dash.

No issues with mine in the several years it has been on the truck.

I think its a slick upgrade. I love the 2 wd and 4 hi and locked option. But....I did on accident, leave mine on for an hr after a little Pismo action and Everything seem to be ok.
Very well made product.

Wish I hadn't installed it? Absolutely NOT! I love the bypass and the fact that it's instant on/off with no more locker dance! Not to mention, engagement in 2hi, 4hi and 4lo!
