Here is the picture I was trying to post. I thought this was a nice looking bumper for Ram trucks. Maybe some of you would be interested.

Looks good. Look like they have some rear winch bumpers but not for our trucks. :(

Anyone know if the M15000 is dimensionally larger than the M12000, or just geared deeper? They say their bumper fits 8-12.5k winches.

I'd like to see a side pic. I'm wondering how far out it sticks and what it does to approach angle if it's meant to fit an intercooler and a winch.

M12K, M15K, and 16.5 are all dimensionally the same.

The 12K PW winch is identically equivalent to the generic M15K. Search here for dead horse level discussion :poke:

I was looking at a warn bumper and they said that the heavy duty series m12, m15 wouldn't fit their bumper. From the sound of their website this bumper might be the same. I read somewhere that people with aftermarket bumpers had issues with the inner wheel well liner gap between the bumper was causing electrical problems from water that wasn't being blocked. Anyone else hear of that or have that problem?

Couldn't you leave the winch in its factory cradle and run the cable through another fairlead in the bumper.

As far as the questions relating to the winches.... While the larger winches may physically fit, the manufacturer may be stating the winch limit due to a strength thing, not necessarily a physicaly fitting thing.

To an extent, yes. But, depending on how far out the second fairlead is, and the actual construction of the bumler at that point, it may not be strong enough. Side pulls put an extreme amount of force on those points.

Yes, but it will be exerting the force in the same place no matter if the winch is mounted in the bumper or in its current cradle. The force will be on the fairlead at the front of the bumper either way.

If the winch is bolted to the bumper, yes. If it is bolted to the stock cradle in the frame, no. It will exert side force on the mounting points of the bumper that won't be experienced if the winch is in the bumper.

Cue the Professor...

Lmao  Yeah where is he anyway?

Also, the construction of the bumper may not allow the factory winch/cradle to be used, possibly.

This is what I had to do with the Aluminess bumper.

Looks great BUT, it's another bumper that sticks out WAY further than it has to. Really a disappointment that no one builds a TRULY Power Wagon specific bumper (ie not based off a design that works for Cummins rigs too), one that doesn't stick out any further than is necessary for our trucks!
