Show me your lightbars

I'm more curious with how you guys have them mounted then the bars themselves. i have an old set of Hella 500's i might just throw on but after seeing some of these LED light bars in action they throw out a crazy amount of light in a small package that has me considering them (as much as i hate the fact that every bro truck has them). either way, i need to mount them to the truck. i cant stand the roof mount and i dont want to drill into the factory bumper. not putting an aftermarket bumper either. that leaves me with a light bar mount or behind the grill. id like to see what you guys have done and what works with the power wagon winch, since ive seen a few that would mount in between the tow hooks, but thats out of the question for us. so far all ive found is the randy ellis bar. is that the only option?

I went through exactly the same thought process - don't want to look like a mall crawler, but really wanted the light output. I ended up just drilling the bumper to mount a 20" bar. I'll try to add a pic in the next day or so.

These little cubes put out good light, are protected, and cheap. I can run them while my high beams are on. I have full access to my winch. Mounting was easy as I used existing holes in bumper and simple wiring with relay and switch. I could take more pics if anyone is interested.

Ggbull, do you have any pics at night showing the light output on a distant woodline or something, something to show scale light output from those cubes?

Depending on the year and trim level of your truck, you may want to consider HID or LED retrofit bulbs in the head lights and LED cubes in the fog lights. I considered the light bar but it interferes with my front park sensors. Not to mention the headlight fog light combo is probably as bright as most LED bars. Mike Key has both and he has said he can barely see the light bar with his high and low beams on. I don't have a light bar but I do have HID's and cubes and it is extremely bright.

Perhaps something like this would work for you since you don't want to drill the bumper etc.

very sleek set up. i had not considered doing the cubes like that. only thing my winch cable is usually strapped to my tow hook so it might interfere. i would also be curious to see some output pics though.

ill probably end up doing HID's in the headlights, but i would want to swap in projector headlights first. not sure when im going to do all that. i like the LED cubes in the fogs, but i drive with my fogs on all the time and im afraid they might be too bright or blinding for oncoming drivers to be used all the time. park sensors are not an issue. i have a tradesmen.
ive seen your thread, but like i said i dont want to drill the bumper.
i forgot to mention that i have a 4th gen.

kind of abortion is that ??? That would NOT be legal in NY State. Brush guard obstructs the headlights. Or at least looks like it from that pic.

Meh, who needs headlights when you have 4 light bars and 6 cubes.

That's what I was thinking, you may aswell just remove the headlights with all those LEDs.

- Stock low beams only

- Stock low beam and 2 18w spot cubes
Not the greatest night to take photos. In town with a full moon. Next time I'm out of town at night I will snap some better pics. I also have the factor 55 flatlink so winch hook no longer attached to tow hook. This mod would not work with winch connected to tow hook.
