What is the issues with getting a RanchHand bumper on our trucks? Frames are the same as the normal 2500's,

What part of south Texas? I live in "south Texas" and ranch hands are everywhereMopar6.4 wrote:I'm in South Texas and we think they are beautiful,,, but I know what your saying. I'm just looking for added prtection from deer.
Lol, yeah the negative feedback doesn't bother me & I've had a ranch hand on every truck I have owned. Really just trying to figure out why all the manufacturers say their bumpers don't work for PW.Colibri wrote:You should get whatever bumper you like man. Ranch hands serve a specific purpose, though many dislike their proportions. They limit approach angle and they weigh quite a bit but they'll protect your truck from an animal strike for damn sure!
Living in Pleasanton now but grew up in Harlingen, will be moving back down there sometime this year. I work from Pleasanton to Brownsville for a major feed company.2011TXPowerWagon wrote:What part of south Texas? Because of the factory mounted winch, they're either unsure so they say it wont or it wont due to bracing and the fact they use the same bolt holes as the winch cradle. You can relocate the winch into any of them that will accept a Warn 15000 as far as I know and reclock the handle for F-N-R. Most PW owners dont want a "winch bumper" that sticks out a foot in front of the grill, I'd personally like to have a close fit one that can leave the winch in it's current location.Mopar6.4 wrote:Lol, yeah the negative feedback doesn't bother me & I've had a ranch hand on every truck I have owned. That style bumper looks fine but won't stop a deer or Nilgai from going through my radiator. Ranch Hand is telling me they don't have one that will work on a PW or a truck with front park sensors. Fab Fours said their premium bumper will work but it's $2,500 witch is beyond retarded. Will wrote:Don't get me wrong, I like a Ranch Hand, just not the one for the 4th gen and up Dodge. It's too big and bulky. Some of their other models look great. I'm curious to see what their latest bumper "Horizon" looks like for the Dodge. The one for the F250 is not that bad looking, has potential...
Ah ok that makes sense & the bumper sticking out has never been an issue for me, I don't rock crawl the truck. I guess the only issue now is the lighter coil springs, I don't think a 200lb bumper will do well bouncing down ranch roads all day with them. Will wrote:Because of the factory mounted winch, they're either unsure so they say it wont or it wont due to bracing and the fact they use the same bolt holes as the winch cradle. That is cool to hear. I live in Edinburg, glad to see more PW's in the RGV.Mopar6.4 wrote:Living in Pleasanton now but grew up in Harlingen, will be moving back down there sometime this year. You need an Aluminess "Power Wagon Specific" bumper. http://www.aluminess.com/dodge/dodge-po ... nt-bumper/Mopar6.4 wrote:Ah ok that makes sense & the bumper sticking out has never been an issue for me, I don't rock crawl the truck. I didn't know about this company and this should take care of my needs. I don't like the price but it's cheaper than damaging my truck and being on the side of the road, I'm ordering one today. Will wrote:You need an Aluminess "Power Wagon Specific" bumper. http://www.aluminess.com/dodge/dodge-po ... nt-bumper/Mopar6.4 wrote:Ah ok that makes sense & the bumper sticking out has never been an issue for me, I don't rock crawl the truck.
