2015 PW won't start

Last week I stopped for gas, got back in my 2015 PW, inserted and turned the key and it wouldn't start. Removed the key tried again still nothing. I removed the key and tried the remote start function. Started right up, inserted the key and the engine died. I did that twice and then the remote start was disabled. I had my wife bring the second key at home and same result and the remote start still disabled. I was hoping it was something as simple as weak battery in the key fob. I called AAA to have it towed to the dealer. The AAA driver suggested we disconnect the battery wait one minute reattach and try to start it. Truck fired up right away and has started every time since then (maybe 20 starts). I had received a software update notice for the Uconnect, but hadn't done it yet. I'm thinking there must be a connection. I have an appointment tomorrow with the local Dodge dealer to diagnose the problem and run the software update. Has anyone experienced this problem? I'll keep this post updated with info. Thanks, Ken

Here's a follow-up. Dealership couldn'tfind the source of the non start problem. Most likely computer glitch. Had the software update done. Hoping that was all that was needed to fix the problem.

yep, it happened to me once last year on my 06 CTD. Like you I had it towed home disconnected the batteries for half an hour, no problems since.

Would it turn over? Or not even engage the starter?

It was if the ignition switch was bad, which was not the case. I hadn't done the software update for the uconnect 8.4. I think that was the problem as the update included a fix for potential hacking by criminals that would allow them to start and steal the vehicle. Fortunately all I had to do was disconnect the battery for a minute and after that the truck started. The dealer has now run the software update. All is well.
