If anyone is considering getting White Knuckle sliders, these things are built to hold up a train. I got the .188 option and they are ridiculously overbuilt, quality is excellent. I'm getting them line x'ed locally and installed, I don't need the backache. b

Haha! Yeah, you're not kidding. My son and I put them on my truck, but we had a Genie lift to hold them up. I've dropped the truck on them quite a few times. Good investment.

Good choice. I set mine on jack stands then crawled under the truck and barked orders at my buddy's teenaged sons at either end of the sliders. They were good sports. It would have been a real pain without the extra muscle.

Agree, great mod, great functionality, great looks, love it. Very stout, got the full diamond plate top & then Line-X, me & a buddy (both Mechanical Engineers) installed them in a bout 3-4 hrs. Used a 4 ton floor jack & 4.5 ton jack stands, wasn't bad other than getting to the top bolts. Removing the in-floor storage bins helped a lot, had to grind down the second mounting bracket for more clearance. I measured the rocker to slider clearance with a 2" gap checker to make sure the fore & aft gaps were equal, I got them w/in ⅛ " or so, good enough.

I have been looking at the White Knuckle sliders for my 2500.

Do they extend past the plane of the door to offer some parking lot protection as well? Can't really tell from the photos that I have seen.

Oh man I want a set of those things.
I just did some moderate rocky stuff and I was so nervous that all 7K was going to come down full force on the rocker panel.
How long was or is the wait from order to delivery?

When i ordered mine a few months back it took about a month not to bad at all!

Almost 6 wks exact from payment to front door

I know I know...one is frame mounted and one isnt. Ive researched both and they both seem like they will be more that stout enough for what I need for my weekend warrior, she's not a dedicated trail rig. But either way

Definitely liking the White Knuckles. Sounds like good protection for the door. On the flip side, does it protect the pinch weld at all or is that still pretty much exposed? I'm trying to use the sliders as a preferred option to linex-ing the rockers so it would be nice if the protection covered that as well.

These literally run along side the pinch weld and rockers and extend past them as well... You will not get anymore protection than these babies offer. Bolt right to frame and you can jack on them with a Farm Jack. I have already smashed down on mine and the truck just kept on trucking no issues lol.

I was in up north Michigan a few weeks ago during the deer gun season, and I was driving my power wagon looking for a new hunting spot on a day that we had a lot of rain, and I found a old Fire trail, it was pretty badly washed out, but I figured I have a PW, right? So why can't I just explore this trail and see where it takes me. Well as luck turns out, I progressed on the Firetrail climbing a fairly steep incline and couldn't see on the down side where the right-hand side of the trail was washed out and as I crested the peak, the power wagon slid about 25 feet down the side of the trail and hit between the front driver and the rear side door against a stump that was probably I'd say 3 foot diameter from a big oak tree that had been cut down by loggers, and if it wasn't for my white knuckle sliders, the seam between the rear and front doors would've been crushed, and I probably would've been stuck climbing out the passenger door from the force of my truck impacting that stump, so the white knuckle sliders definitely saved my bacon and my wallet. all I did was get out using my step rail that I had installed on the top of my sliders, and use the winch to pull myself up over the backside of the stomp to get out, and went about my day. Not a scratch on the truck or sliders other than a slight mar in the Line-x.

After seeing these I'm selling my amp steps and getting a set...

Has anyone thought about welding on a skidplate to close the area between the mounting bars? Not sure if it is needed, I am bored at work and my mind is wandering......

I picked up Aluminess sliders, I had looked at a used set but it was cheaper to buy and ship than to ship the used ones.

Aluminess was my second choice, I got tired of waiting for white knuckle to prototype a set for the 14 and needed some sort of step into the truck. As it was the DAY the aluminess set arrived white knuckle sent out an email saying that they were available for pre order.

The truck looks great, don't see many in all white with no decals. I think you're going to really like the sliders especially if you do any slow, crawling over obstacles, type of off roading. My mopar sliders have saved me lot of damage a few pictures to show the value of sliders (South Park Canyon - Death Valley CA).
