Winch Relay Pack Removal

My winch hasn't been working for a while and was doing a little testing and noticed one of the metal sleeves inside the relay pack where the controller plugs in pulled out and was stuck to one of the prongs on the controller plug, #2 in the picture. Looking in the tech manual it says the whole winch needs to be pulled to replace the relay pack. Does anyone know if there is a way to fix that one metal sleeve without replacing the entire relay pack? Thanks for the help.

Not to revive an old thread...but finally got around to installing this before I sell it. Does anyone have the wiring diagram for the winch relay for our trucks? I used to have it but my old computer crashed. The diagram provided with the socket kit is slightly different than what I see visually on the winch itself. Also, on the off chance anyone has installed this...it looks like the relay first goes behind the winch where all the thermal protection stuff is that I bypassed years ago. Do I need to pull all of that back apart and tie the new parts into it? Thanks again for all the help

Yep, well kinda. Was hoping it had color coding on the wires. Not to half ass the fix but thoughts on just splicing the female connector into the existing wiring? All the wires match up and would be a hell of a lot easier

Anyone know what the small box with a circuit board in it attached to the back of the relay box is for? The power wire feeds into that and two wires come out...one going to the negative battery terminal

Might be for the low voltage alarm.

I thinks a combination of that rusty and some fail safe for the ground...anyway, not going to cut it out lol. The optest seems to work ok...something is up though, it will either winch out and not in....or in and not out. I'm guessing it's something with the wiring that needs to adjusted/tightened up...unless anyone has any other ideas

I had something like this when I was respooling mine last time. If I brought it in a few times in a row it would stop working until I clicked out out for a moment and then it would come back in just fine. I think it was the solenoid, but it may be the thermal switch. I would try cleaning your contacts first.
