4th gen wheels Beadlock?

Post by ggbull » Fri May 15, 2015 7:05 pm

Do the 4g wagon rims still have the tire bead rib.(internal beadlock) I would really like to get some 2013/2015 stock pw rims for my 2012.

Yes 2014 and up are forged 1 piece aluminum with a raised rib internal.

The lip helps retain the bead but there is no true locking.

Not like it's a big deal, but I am pretty sure the wheels got changed for the 2014 model year.

14s plus did change, same basic design but no more center caps, they are part of the wheel I believe.

I would like to have a set of these rings for the stockers> Also sorry for hi-jacking thought it was still relevant to beadlocks and stock wheels.

Looking at my 2014 I don't think manual hubs will fit through the rims. It necks down to a smaller cap.

That's what I was thinking. And there are a few companies that will make the stock wheels into a beadlock. Its the same concept as DIY beadlocks for steel rims just done on aluminum.
