If it's about Power Wagons, all generations, this is where it'll go. This is the original PWR Forum Power Wagon Technical Discussion Section. And this includes everything that doesn’t fit in any one of the other categories related to the truck goes here!

Greetings from a new Wagon owner (pics too)

Post by Low_Sky » Fri May 01, 2015 7:46 pm

I just wanted to introduced myself and say thanks for all the info. For the past few months I've been lurking on this forum and learning as much as I could. Since I took delivery of my Power Wagon yesterday, I decided I should finally create an account. I am sure I'll have questions later on down the road. The Wagon replaced my 2005 Silverado, and it's amazing what a difference 10 years makes. This thing is a freaking space ship.

Since this was a factory ordered truck that I plan on owning for the next 8 years or so, I decided to order it how I want it. My 1-day impression is that I love this truck. The ride is smoother than my old Chevy, the quality feels better than my 2015 F-150 company truck, and the Rambox is awesome. I don't haul sleds or four wheelers, so I won't miss the full width bed, and the locking storage boxes and bed divider really compliment my storage and organization needs. One benefit of the Rambox that I didn't anticipate is that the bed rails are wide enough to make for a comfortable place to sit when I change in and out of waders. I'm lucky to fish enough that that's a real benefit for me.

For now, here's some pictures of my new truck, including the gratuitous Power Wagon flex photo.

  • Rock sliders with step (if I have to climb in and out at 6'4", my 5'2" girlfriend may need a proper ladder, haha)

Nice truck!

On the custom dividers for fishing poles... I think you can buy stuff for that straight from Mopar. Dividers for fishing poles, guns etc.

Thanks olyelr. I'll have to look at what Mopar offers, but my gut reaction is "why pay Mopar for what I can make out of plywood?" :D

Very true... just thought I would toss that out there.

You can buy alot of plywood and spend quite a bit of time tinkering to add up to what Mopar wants for them. They do look nice though...

Here is what we did, easy and a lot cheaper than the Mopar divider kits. 1/4" plywood slides right into the slots.
