Four months before that I first saw the new 2005 PW in FourWheeler magazine and knew that I'd get one someday. Fast foward four months ... My '96 Dakota had 85000 mi. on it and was not running quite right, ended up being it had only 75 & 80 lbs. compression in two cylinders.
I'm now faced with an expensive bill just to tear it down to find the problem and then another expensive bill to fix it.

While wandering around the dealership, out on the back lot I spotted something ... a brand new fully loaded PW, that some guy special ordered (in the color I wanted and more options than I would have ordered) but did not take delivery. One thing led to another and with the factory incentives being offered at the time I could get it for $ 38,700.00 . We agreed on the price and I went home and arranged the credit union financing and came back to take delivery the next day. When I come to sign the paperwork and take delivery, they told me that the rockrails, winch kit and Power Wagon bedliner were not on the original invoice and it would be another $2000.00.

So here I am at seven years later, with 39,000mi. on the odometer, original BFG ATs ( maybe I'll get another 2k out of them ) and my 7/70 finally expired.
Other than the fan clutch failing @ 9300mi. (relpaced on warranty) I've had NO problems, no death wobble, no winch problems (I did the thermal bypass), no locker or swaybar problems, no serv 4wd lights flashing, NADA. I'm still using the original battery!
Other than the MPG (which I new going in would be lousy) , 10mpg around town and upwards of 15 to 16mpg on long freeway runs, I'll say that my Power Wagon is the BEST pickup (#8) I've ever owned and I couldn't be HAPPIER

P.S. It's the only vehicle that I've owned since I got it.
