I have a lockpick and added a front camera. Just a cheapo off amazon. Just search for 12v camera. Really nice when your nose goes way in the air while wheeling.

I didn't do the sensors but I did the camera. I didn't tilt it down as far as I could have to show the bumper because I had planned on getting a different off road bumper, but I've kind of put that on hold. Hopefully this helps you a little.

We're you able to angle yours so you can see the front of the bumper?

That's where I was thinking about putting it and was wondering if it could be connected to the stock video screen. Was that difficult to connect? I really dont want another screen on the dash. Thanks for tour help and idea's.

I bought NAV-TV so that I could hook the camera up to the screen. It also opened up all the Nav features so I can actually use it while I'm driving. It's pretty simple to use. I push the power button twice and the backup camera comes on. Push it a couple more times to shut off the back up camera and turn on the front camera, and then a couple more pushes puts it back to the main screen. The backup camera still comes on when I put it in reverse, but if I'm towing something and want to double check the load because I can't see something while I'm driving I can activate the backup camera.

Is this the Camera you used: https://navtv.com/product/99/cam-5-rear ... wProduct=1

And is this the OEM interface required to integerate with the 8.4AN system: https://navtv.com/product/279/uct-13-.html

If so, wow, that's a pricey mod for adding a front camera, it's nice, but $700+ is a lot.

Take a look at Customtronix. They are a Sweden company that offer a software solution to the 8.4A(N) systems with an avaiable harness if you want to add cameras. Everything is done on the screen so there's no push this button 9 times type of deal to activate cameras. I have the Bronze package which is just the NAV unlock while driving. The Silver and Gold packages add the harness and depending on which one you pick, cams too.

Also, ask for the "Forum Pricing" and tell them you were referred to them on Ramforums. Brings the price down a little...

I think I was closer to $500 when I was done, but I figured if it saves me from hitting the factory bumper once it pays for itself. Plus to be honest, I thought it was kind of cool.

Yeah, thanks for the info. Their solution seems far more reasonable. From the descriptions, you can get the SIlver kit which comes with camera and software plug in for $250, or the SIlver Plus which comes with software and the camera built into the RAM Head emblem for $300.

I thought at first you weren't converting Euro to USD, but I just checked the Euro conversion and it's dropped a lot since I bought my kit.

I was--the standard Silver package is £229. So you have to drop out the whole radio head to plug in their harness, which interface a second camera & opens some other 12V ACC options right?

Does this only work with the radios with NAV? I would like to unlock the video and use the backup camera while not in reverse.

Shows on their website that it is compatible with both the RA4 (nav) and RA3 (w/o nav). I emailed them about the possibility of changing the default reverse camera location with the cargo cam. My 14 has the cargo cam and the reverse camera is in the mirror and after having it in the 8.4 screen it is extremely frustrating to have it in the smaller screen.

The 5.0 is on the 2012 model right? Then it's what I got. I have a lockpick and added a cargo cam and a front cam, plus it unlocked everything. Not sure if there are other ways to do it for my model.

2012 model should be a 4.3, the 5.0 is the smaller radio that is in the dash of the 13+ that has the optional 8.4

To add the Lockpic silver + front camera, looks like you have to add a wiring harness to the radio head, then wire the harness to the battery, & run the front camera cable to a plug in the new harness. Is it difficult to remove the radio?

Anyone have the newer lockpick air? I had the lockpick (non air) on my 4.3 but want the air for the 8.4a. I prefer the lockpick since it already has the power wires for the camera. I'll be selling my old lockpick in a few days once I get pictures of it if anyone needs one for the 4.3 mygig

Ok I have a question. I have a lockpick and installed a front camera today but the image is backwards. Sounds like not a big deal but it is really strange when you're turning left and the image goes right. Especially if your using the camera to avoid an obstacle. Does anyone know how to reverse the image??

I bought one off of eBay that looks to be the exact one they sell. I think I may have to buy one that can be reversed through the camera.
