I'm underwhelmed. Too boy racer without substance.

Too boy racer without substance.
Agree. It's mostly an appearance package with a slight lift and tires that are still too small. But it has 3D lettering on the back. Woo Hoo!

Why no EcoDiesel?

For a truck that was built to compete with the Raptor, they missed the mark on this one. While this upgraded Trim package is nice, the suspension is their same air suspension as far as I have seen so far. 33" Toyo tires and small lift is underwhelming to me. I think they will sell a bunch of them!!! But I hardly think it's worthy of competing with the Raptor. I think it will compete more the F150 FX4 and GM's Z71/ Reaper packages. I think that will be a more comparable test.

I honestly was hoping to see a 1/2 Ton Power Wagon'ish truck. Don't get me wrong, I think the Power Wagon should have a 3/4 Ton chassis. I think a 1/2 ton version with just a rear locker, factory lift with bilstein shocks and a tire of the 35/ 315 size. Eco Diesel and 5.7l options. Oh well, glad I have my '14PW.

Wish they'd made the Ramrunner instead of this appearance oriented pretty boy truck. Not a bad concept, not a horrible look, except the grill, but not enough real substance to it.

Hmmm.... Looks cool, not much too it. It's definitely a cool looking appearance package. I give Ram credit, at least they are trying. I don't think there will ever be a direct one for one competitor to the Raptor. It's just not really practice to spend $50,000 on a 1/2 ton truck that doesnt tow much or can't hall and Ram (seems) to be trying to get to the buyers that need practical use of their trucks. This may just appease the people who want a cool looking truck but they don't want/need all of the off road equipment that the Raptor or Power Wagon has.

I have to agree sexy looking truck however there is no way in hell that will compete with the Raptor.... Nothing about it mechanics wise is special to me... 1 inch lift and 33's LOL wow... I mean we do have the Power Wagon which is a specialty truck as the Raptor is Ford's specialty truck... As long as they don't advertise it as a Raptor killer i'm sure they will sell a few me personally I would not buy it. I feel that it's a lifted Outdoorsmen package...

They said it's not aimed at taking on the Raptor. It's more of a toy for people that lile powersports (ATVs, UTVs, Dirtbikes) Atleast that's what it said in the review I read elsewhere. I love the interior on it, wish I could have had that in my '12 Wagon. Not fond of the grille or tailgate, but maybe it'll grow on me.

Overall I think it is a good looking truck. I do like the front bumper with its improved approach angles.

I don't what to think about this truck. I guess I kinda like the front end vs. the current 1500 lowrider look.. Maybe a 2" (lol)lift would bring out a little stouter look.. If it was available w/ the Eco diesel I'd have an all black one ordered... Just for the killer hwy mileage that those things are getting... I don't think it will be any competition for the Raptor, if that's what was intended... I've spent some time in the Raptor out in the desert and for a stock vehicle it was damn capable.

Interesting, but screams that it is a "me too" truck following the Raptor. Dodge (Ram) is better than this, no need to follow Ford.

It should at least have an electric rear locker like the FX4, other than that no too bad. I do like the interior, but I won't get rid of my PW for one, EVER.

If I was in the market for another 1500, I'd probably order this over the Laramie package.

I think I get it but yes it should have front and rear lockers. This would perhaps be like a junior power wagon, meant to navigate terrain. NOT a raptor wannabe. If it comes out you know the raptor crowd will be cutter it up regardless.
