What kind of mileage are you 2014 guys getting?

14.2 to 16.2 mpg on the highway averaging 65-75mph. In pure city I am getting 11.2 to 12mpg. That is with 35" tires and no performance mods.

I have a MagnaFlow muffler. I'm seeing 16+ on the highway & 15.0-15.5 in town.

Hmmm.. I was assuming a 6.4l 'normal' 2500 would be in the 16-17 mpg range on the highway. Maybe the extra 2" lift, heavier tires and heavier truck aren't hurting it that much... :)

On my last trip I got exactly 18.0 mpg. No interstates, averaged 55-60 mph, all tires at 65 psi cold. Didn't do any crazy passes or use the cruise control. :D

Got 17 on my 230 mile trip back from the dealer, all highway. It's been dropping ever since. Average last time I looked was 12.4. Truck has about 600 miles in it. So I'm thinkin around town/back roads it something less than 12.

Hmmm, not really much better than my 2010. I averaged 10.9 with 35's (never reset it) now I'm averaging 13.1 with 37's and tuner and all stock from the nostril to the poop shoot. Saw 18 on hwy at 60mph for 2 hours. :)

I'm curious what a tuner will do for you guys, I kicked myself in the ass in 5 circles for not getting a tuner sooner.

Heck, that's no better than my '09. My daily 32 mile round trip nets 12.8 to 13.1 MPG. Airing down is when it plummets - single digits is common, with 6 or so not uncommon in snow, sand, and mud.

Compared to my 2011 (which had 35's, a Bully Dog, an Airaid CAI, and a 24" Magnaflow muffler and y-pipe) I am getting about 1mpg worse in the city and 1-2mpg better on the highway. I am also curious what a tuner will do. I kept my Bully Dog and will likely wait until spring and see if they release an update for the 2014's. If they don't I will likely sell it and maybe buy a Diablo.

Just got a bully dog on my 2010 last week. Went from an average of 11.2 to 14.5. Running 70 on a flat pull was getting @14 and now showing @18. I figure a gain eventually of 2.5 MPGs averaging.

Do also have CAI, magnaflow Y and 22" iirc.

Getting ready to bump to 35s

On my inaugural 60mile trip home from the dealer, I drove 55 and saw 18+. I'm at nearly 1500 miles now & the original trip setting (B) has been running since day 1, and as of today, it's showing 15.5. I reset trip A today before my 30 mile commute (25 miles hwy), and it registered 16.1mpg at 70mph.

With the MDS if you are willing to keep the truck at 55-60mph you can get GREAT mileage! Here's a picture of mine cruising at 97kph (60mph) when the MDS kicked in.

I think the majority of the good mileage is a tuner, the tire size and the speed. If I am willing to go 55 I usually see 16-18 on flat highway with the stock 33s. Once I bump that up to 70 or 75 that drops to 13-15. I would assume that would maybe bump to 19 with 35s since they would pull the motor down less once they get to speed. I also have stock everything except the Diablo on the MPG tune and Flowmaster exhaust.

Did a 300 mile round trip of mostly highway with some backroads yesterday and kept the truck on cruise at 68mph. Got just under 16mpg. Pretty darn good with 35" tires and no performance mods.

That's awesome! I find if I reset after filling up & do mostly highway driving , I routinely see about 15.8-16.5 depending on cruise setting. But it drops quickly to 15 if I start driving around town.

Go to bullydog's website and ask to be a beta tester for the 2014's with the 6.4. Hopefully the more people sign up the faster they will work on a tune for this motor.

I've had my 2014 for just over a week. 950 miles

- sea level
- flat (Florida)

15-16 mpg's in town

18-ish mpg on the highway (55-60 mph)

Looking to put some 285/75/17 all-terrains on, re-calibrate speedo, and hope to move the highway cruising "sweet" spot up a few mph's with the slightly larger tire with a tad less rolling resistance than the duratracs...

So far, this truck has exceeded my fuel mileage expectations...

I love this truck... :D

I recently took my truck on vacation, driving 350 miles I averaged 19.3 mpg at various speeds . On the return trip home I got 17.4 but it was a different route and more mountainous.
I am quite pleased with the mileage my truck gets,it was far from expected. My 2004 1500 averaged about 14 mpg . All I have done that may have affected it is I have a Bakflip tonnuea cover and a drop in K&N air filter.

Good Night!!! That's better than a diesel. Share the secret please, 'cause I'm not seeing any where close to that.

A week ago I was able to get 15 mpgs on my 05 again...... driving as conservative as possible.

I'm happy to report that I'm back to driving like I want to with 9 mpgs on the highway.

I'm averaging 12.4 after 1622 recorded miles according to my Fuelly app. It does about 15 with the cruse set at 75. 18-20 if I set it at 60, but I can't ever drive that slow. :D The reason for my low average is, a lot of dirt road, sand beach and in town driving.

Hmmm... While on leave in may I managed to squeeze out 16 MPG (hand calculated  ) during a trip with the wife. I just drove like a sane person and maintained good highway speed. I should be home in about 3-6 weeks and I am looking hard the new PW's so if they can match or do better than that, I think I may be sold.

Just took about a 500 mile round trip, 90%+ on I-75, and averaged exactly 17.0MPG with cruise set at 65MPH in Ohio, and 70MPH in Michigan.
