05 POWERWAGON SECURITY SYSTEM ISSUE

I think i have found my radio problem. Does anyone know anything about the security system in the 05? I never used it. I didn't think mine had the option. It has killed my radio,door locks and dome light. Does anyone know if anything else can be afected? I don't want to be out and have the thing shut down on me. Can the system be disconnected or is it programed in the computer?

My '05 has the remote control fobs for the door locks, but no factory security system that I am aware of. You might take your VIN number to a dealer and have them look up the build sheet details to see if you have a factory security system. I once burned up the "security module" in my GMC when the alternator failed and fried a bunch of stuff. That truck did not have a security system but the module was in there anyway and the truck could not run without it.

I have the electric locks too and was not aware of having the security system either. I will take the vin. In and see what i can find out. Haven't had any electrical problems but i did see a little furry has chewed firewall insulation. I how thats not the problem. Thanks for the info.
