I'm looking at the Bully Dog 40430 Hemi Plus Gauge Tuner but I know very little about tuners and some guidance would be nice. It looks like it will do everything I need including changing the setting on the TPMS. I know I'm probably opening a can of worms, but I would like to here what you all think and any advice you may have.

I have that tuner, has worked great for me. I bought it shortly after I put on 315/70/17 tires to gain back any power loss and adjust the tire size for the speedo and it did both of those for me. As for the TPMS I tried adjusting it but it wouldn't work so I called Bully Dog and they said on my truck my only option was to just turn it off which I did. I also set my fogs to stay on with my high beams. This spring I added an Airaid CAI and a Magnaflow 24" muffler and new y-pipe. The combo of those and the tuner work very well together.
For a simple "bolt on" tuner with some good features I am satisfied.
My truck is a 2011 and I run the 91 performance tune.

Can it calibrate everything for 37" tires? Does it have to stay connected to the obd2 port? What kind of gas mileage are you getting on 35"s and the 91 octane tune?

It should do up to 37" tires as had to set mine to 33.5" to get my speedo accurate (via my GPS). It doesn't have to stay connected to the OBD2 port for the tunes or settings but it does have some monitoring functions you could use if you chose to keep it connected. Right now I get around 14 to 15.5mpg on the highway keeping speeds around 70mph. In the city I get 11.8 to 13mpg.

Haha! Don't forget the type of tire will make a huge difference in what kind of fuel economy you will get with 35" tires. I am running Kelly Safari TSR's which are made by Goodyear and are very similar to the Duratrac. They are not super heavy, are a hybrid between a mud terrain and an all terrain, and are load range D. I am sure if I went with a full mud terrain that was also heavier my fuel economy would be worse.
That being said I am really happy with the tuner. Even more happy with the tuner/CAI/exhaust combo. I did up a thread not too long ago on the combo and my feedback.

i had that tuner was not impressed. i returned it and got the diablo intune with hemifever tune night and day difference went up 1.5 mpg with the intune over the bullydog, intune does not have as many features as the bullydog but for power and fuel economy my choice would be the intune

I've got the DiabloSport Trinity and wanted to return it for the Bully Dog at first but now I'm happy with it. I think the Hemi Fever tune is what really wakes these things up.

When I got mine I didn't know much about the Hemi Fever tune. If I had I would likely have gone that route. However, I am still very happy with the Bully Dog as far as the "plug and play" tuners go.

This is what gets me... we always want more... I don't need the most power boost or would use every feature. I dont want to pay for 90+ octane at every fill up. I feel like these engines need a little room tho, like a hall pass but I'd rather meet some strange thats up for just about anything rather than drop some coin on the best whore in town that makes you wrap it up and doesn't do anal but takes your wallet like she does... sorry, back on topic, no need for custom tunes, high price gas, Just want a bit more and the features with the bullydog seem good. It's a fine line but I feel for ease and use the hemi gt is the way to go... plus the fact that you can get it on autoanything for less than MSRP.

If you want a tuner to tune and do small things like run the fogs with the high, TPMS and such and then un-plug then go with the Bully Dog, very simple and easy to use. The Trinity is more for the person who wants a tuner to play with and that they can monitor things and always have it on the windshield to have real time stats and also have the ability to log and change parameters on the engine itself. You can't change the fog lights with the highs or the TPMS (yet) but you can change the speed limiter, rev limiter in neutral and drive, line pressure, shift points, and quite a few other little things like that. Just for anyone that may be wanting a Trinity, be sure to get it off of Hemi Fevers site and you'll get his tune with the tuner for the same price as just the tuner from anywhere else. Save some coin there.
