What's up guys? Started installing my BDS lift today and ran into one issue that I need to find a solution to for tomorrow. I need some input on removing the pitman arm from the drag link. I got the pitman arm off the steering link but can't get the it offt he drag link in order to attach it to the new one that comes with the kit. Any and all advice/input will help. That's the only thing keeping me from completeing tomorrow.

A Pickle Fork would probably be the easiest way to separate them. But I would do it with the pitman arm attached

Appreciate it. Just located a few different ones at the local store. Hope it gets the job done quickly.

Here are the tools that the dealer uses, I tried a pickle fork on mine and it did not work very well.

Pickle fork and big hammer worked great for me.

Yeah...think I'm going to try the pickle fork and hammer and see how it does. Aside from that, reassembly is all that's left. Extra set of hands, good impact wrench, and the right sockets got the job done. Control arms were a bit of a pain but got them in...

Pain should have put my Thuren long arms on! Cutting and welding and measuring about a hundred times to make sure everything was right. But worth it in the end. Good luck. Just imagine how good it will look when it's done!

There's a sweet spot that a ball pein hammer will pop the TRE. Look for a slight flat spot, then whack it...you may have to hit it with your purse! Hahahahahaha!

Agreed ! Ball pin hammer works well all the time might make it difficult without the pitman arm attatched though! Pickle fork would work well also maybe alittle heat if it's seized good??
