Heavy duty floor mats

Post by AceMan » Fri Jun 29, 2012 1:48 am

Well, not sure if this was on topic for a PW or not, but they sure go into one!

So who has those heavy duty floor mats, and what brand are they? Are these the good ones below? If not, what brand/model should I be looking for?

I found the Husky Liners 98032 - Husky WeatherBeater Floor Liners for front and rear:
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/HUS-98032/

And just the front: $65.95 and free shipping:
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/HUS-30802/

I found them at other sites, but they are avg $10.00 more.

I bought Weathertech ones from Truckin' Thunder here in Fredericksburg. They are shaped specifically for your year model and are pretty durable, so far. When they get muddy, you just pull them out and hose them off.

Ive had the husky mats in all of my trucks and always will. I love the way the sides will allow them to hold in the mud, slush and water and keep it off the carpet. They don't slide around and are a good fit.

Weathertech for me! I picked them up at "bones" house on the way to Rausch this year. Best ones I've ever had. Like Ken said just pull them out and hose them off. Took a little scrubing to get that red clay mud stuff from Rausch off though  I'm still finding that stuff on the truck

Weathertech is made in the USA. Not sure about Husky. They are the two brands I have always heard mentioned when quality floor mats were discussed. I believe you can order Weathertech direct from them.

Sent from an undisclosed location.

Thanks, gents. Weathertech it is. When I get a fee minutes tonight, I'll be ordering a set, front and rear. The Pep Boys ones just don't last long enough.

I see you have already decided (and quite wisely I might add), but I will add my voice: Weathertech. I have been very satisfied with mine, although the rear is one piece and difficult (not too bad) to remove without some of its contents being dropped onto the carpet.

I have tried several different mats (Mopar, Husky, Rugged Ridge) in my PW and by far the Weathertech's fit, color, quality, and durability is the best.

I got the MOPAR rubber mats and the dealership. They're very rugged, better than the Husky mats that I had in my Jeep, and cost a whole lot less than the links you're posting.
In fact, now that I look at those prices, I wonder if the dealership messed up and only charged me for one mat? When I picked them up and said, "how much", I was very surprised at the answer. Happy, but surprised...

Regarding the Weather Tech im a bit curious there is mention about the rear one not fitting with the fron business console being installed. I have a 06 Manual is that tray for drinks around the two shift levers considered the business console or is that the larger one on the Gen 4 rams?

http://www.weathertech.com/dodge/2006/r ... eel-drive/

It pops up in the fit notes before you start the order process.

Thanks in advance for any help.
