control arm replacement one at a time

Post by rws5040 » Fri Feb 14, 2014 10:11 am

well i thought i needed ball joints. turns out i need new bushings in the lower control arms. I have the rancho pw lift been installed for six years or so now. Whats the thoughts on doing one arm at a time, pull replace bushings reinstall. safe to do or am i thinking crazy. Obviously truck and axle would be supported as needed. I may replace them all together with either the carli standard arms or bds long arm. Same process though one arm at a time. What do you guys think.

One arm at a time would be fine. The use of a ratchet strap will help to pull the axle forward or backwards for easier installation. I'd recommend some new Carli arms, they are very well made.

Change the arms and one at a time would work. Good luck.
