May as well start it- What did your truck get for Christmas?

Post by RAM4ROKS » Tue Dec 17, 2013 10:39 pm

Yeah, I know it's a bit early but, might as well get it rolling: What did your truck get for Christmas???

My wife hates it when I figure out presents early but, a 6'x2'x2' box is hard to hide! (especially when it weighs 55lbs and she can't remove it from the cargo area of her SUV so she asks for help, LOL!) Got a UWS low profile, black finish, 72" wide toolbox! Hopefully, I'll get a chance to put it on tomorrow and post a pic!

I will have to live vicariously through you guys as my truck is not getting anything this year. I have been looking at the Bushwacker flares though since they now have a set that cover 2.25" wider than a truck with none and it looks OEM when left black. I estimate it will be about 2" over the PW flare. I hate the look of the ones with the fake bolt on look they call a "pocket flare".

Won't be this year though as even the lowest price I found with free shipping at $380 .99 on Amazon is still too much for me to spend at the moment.

http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B000COCABG

PS: My truck is paid off on July 1st :excited: Even at zero percent that dam payment hurts!

Shows a painted set.

I like the OEM black look though.

Since I was tired of scraping my window from parking outside, I got a frost blocker (http://www.frostblocker.com/) from Costco and put in a heated washer fluid thingy (http://www.alphathermusa.com/) from ebay. Both came in extremely handy during this cold snap the country was seeing.

Not to mention (soon to be) one of the sweet new awesome incredible bodacious kicka$$ locker bypass kits from MyYoung!

I'm pretty sure my truck is getting a Carli low mount opposing steering stabilizer. Nothing else for the truck this year... I'm glad to see some of you getting a sweet locker bypass for Christmas. ;)

I like those tires! They look way more aggressive than the website pics show. If they would have had those in a 35 I would have definitely considered them.

I agree the website pics don't do them justice haha. I wanted to take this time to go 35's as well but like you mentioned only 285/70/r17's are available =/. After alot of research I feel these tires are perfect for my needs.

Well it got new clutch, flywheel, throw out and pilot under warranty at 27K as a early x-mas present (does that count lol).

Wifey is getting me (4) 4.5" round LED "offroad" lights for behind the grill of the truck, gonna replace the KC knockoffs I converted to HID due to them being long range. I am hopping for more spread in front of the truck and not as much down the road...and instant on vs. waiting for the HID's to warm up.

If they don't work that good I am donna go with some Hella Rallye 4000 compacts (driving) with 100w bulbs (again tired of the long warm up time of the HIDS and pencil beam).

Other than that, just gas lol.
